Kaito and Len had been dating for two months. Two months of handholding and awkward hugging when they left. It was Len's first real relationship with someone he had actual feeling for and Kaito's first relationship with someone who didn't break up with him within the first week.

Kaito always had problems with getting too attached, and Len always had problems with not being attached enough.

He would usually break up with them when he didn't find them as attractive as he thought he did or when they got too annoying. He was almost certain that when he started dating Kaito the exact same thing would happen, but for some reason he felt that if he left he would be hurt more than if he took his chances.

Well, all of his exes were girls.

And girls were pretty annoying.

Kaito and Len were currently lying on the couch of a cheap hotel at seven-thirty in the morning. Kaito's mother took them on a small road trip a few hours away so they could go to a theme park. It was on Christmas break so their parents allowed it. An entire week by themselves, Kaito's brothers, and his mother which they had plans to completely abandon and go off somewhere by themselves.

Of course, they weren't really supposed to be seen alone together since Kaito's mother knew about their relationship and even though it wasn't sexual by any means, she still tried to keep them a good distance away.

The second they came into the hotel room the first thing she said was that the brothers were going to sleep in one bed, her and Kaito were going to sleep in the other and just like that Len had been banished to the couch in the separate room.

Luckily for him, Kaito decided to wake up extremely early in the morning just to sneak onto the couch-bed and cuddle with Len. It was peaceful, really. The only problem was how Len could stare at Kaito, his mouth, his eyes, his nose, and his cute dimples when they would lean towards each other only to eskimo-kiss, but especially his lips.

With their limbs intertwined so closely, Len was afraid Kaito would be able to hear his heart beating faster with each passing second. The butterflies in his stomach flying at the speed of light, bouncing around the walls of his tummy with no regret.

He wanted to kiss Kaito, he knew he was ready; he knew he wanted to lose his first kiss to this boy right here, but he didn't know how. What if it was just an awkward collision of lips and saliva and general nastiness?

What if he or Kaito didn't like it? Wasn't there a thing in the movies where you would feel something when they first kissed? And if you didn't feel it, you would just automatically know and just break up, right?

He let out a small sigh, closing his eyes and leaning his forehead against Kaito's, not knowing the other boy was looking at him with such a smitten look in his eyes. He had noticed how often Len was throwing around the fact that he had never had his first kiss. It was painfully obvious he wanted to kiss him, so what was he waiting for? Every time Len leaned towards him, it seemed as though he wanted to kiss him, so what was the problem?

Kaito had never kissed anyone before, but they practically had the perfect opportunity here, so why didn't he just do it now?

Kaito moved his arm from around Len's waist to up to his face. The younger boy's eyes fluttered open, revealing his beautiful blue eyes. A blush rose to Kaito's face and he stroked his thumb over Len's cheek, watching the smile creep it's way onto his face.

Len could smell his green-tea shampoo as he leaned into Kaito's face, lips on his cheek. Not quite kissing but close enough to stain his face the deepest, prettiest red.

As Len was pulling away from Kaito's embrace to readjust his position and get comfortable, the older boy leaned forward quickly, erasing any thought of doubt from his mind. It was mind over matter in that moment.

Len's lips were slightly chapped, broken with the winter wind, but it was still perfect. He was sure his were the same anyways. They hadn't pressed together in a feeling of pure lust, there was no wetness there, it was an innocent pressing of skin together. It was almost like validity of their relationship. Len had just given Kaito a piece of him he would never get back, and the same for him.

But Kaito pulled away too quickly to really process anything, his face immediately breaking out into a large blush. Len pressed his face into the pillow with a wide grin painting his face. His short blonde hair falling around his face like a beautiful vase of broken flowers and pink, petal lips pulled up into a crooked smile. The red on his cheeks blending into the rest of his pale skin.

Kaito smiled to himself; no words were needed.

It was just perfect.
