1: The invitation

this fanfic is for my own satisfaction as I watched few fanfic like this but they aren't complete and it is quiet frustrating so now it's my attempt to complete this type of fanfic.

it was a normal day lan wangji and lan xichen was busy in their own duties and Wei wuxian was with juniors making mischiefs in some corners of gusu. After few moments a furious lan qiren was seen by everyone with wet clothes.
lan xichen asked his uncle what's wrong with him.
lan qiren said" who else it could be other than Wei wuxian he is misleading my disciples!! "
lan xichen just laughed he was happy that after the arrival of Wei wuxian their clan was more lively. Although some elders disapproves of him but it doesn't really matter since everyone is happy even his uncle was quiet happy seeing that being a like monk wasn't a actually a great idea.

lan wangji was in library pavilion doing his work when Wei wuxian sit beside him and start staring at him. He was staring at lan wangji like a teenager first time falling in love and staring at his crush. It was getting more and more difficult for lan wangji to actually focus on his work and then Wei wuxian sat on his lap showering him with sweet kisses all over his face.
Lan wangji warned him" Wei ying , behave"
Wei wuxian" lan er gege you are so busy with work that you are neglecting me" he said while pouting .
lan wangji" it's going to be finished soon"
Wei wuxian" but I can't wait anymore" he said with sad expression.
lan wangji's self control bid him a goodbye and he started kissing Wei wuxian hungrily.
After a fight of dominating the kiss as usual lan wangji won then he carried Wei wuxian to jingshi for further activities thankfully it was dark. After lan wangji's everyday means everyday activity they were fast asleep. No one knew tomorrow everything will be changed.

Wei wuxian woke up with sweat all over his body lan wangji calm him down
lan wangji " Wei ying, what happened?"
Wei wuxian" a dream more like a vision goddess were inviting me to nightless city "
lan wangji" had the same dream"
Wei wuxian didn't had the time for shock when a knock could be heard lan wangji opened the door and his brother came in.
Lan xichen" I had a vision" he explain the same goddess inviting him to nightless city .
Wei wuxian" look like all cultivators had this same vision"
After confirming all the things they all set for nightless city.

                       IN NIGHTLESS CITY      

It was so crowded every alive cultivators could be seen. After wangxian and his clan arrived there Wei wuxian and Jiang cheng had a good talk while juniors were busy in their own world,lan wangji was busy glaring at Jiang cheng . Everyone was busy thinking what the goddess wants then a big white light covers the whole sky. Jiang cheng couldn't believed what he had seen .
Now even dead cultivators were present.
Jiang cheng saw his parents as well his sister and brother in law he and Wei wuxian was in tears. The twin jades saw their parents lan xichen was about to cry while lan wangji was too shocked to give any kind of reaction.
Wei wuxian was about to pass out when he was his own parents and immediately burst in tears . lan wangji took a moment turned his eyes toward his husband and start calming him down.

Almost every cultivators were in tears as they saw their loved one they all introduced their partners to their loved ones.
Lan wangji and Wei wuxian bowed toward Wei wuxian's parents.
lan wangji" birth name lan zhan, courtesy lan wangji cultivation partner Wei wuxian greets in laws"
both were immediately hugged by Wei wuxian's parents .
Cangse Sanren" sorry my child we left you all alone hope you grew up well" she was in tears. 
Wei wuxian" yes mother I grew up well " his voice cracked while trying to assure his parents.
Wei changze " you got yourself a good partner."
Wei wuxian" of course hanguang jun is best" he said while giggling.
After their talks they turned to greet to lan wangji's parents .
lan qiren " sorry brother I failed to take care of wangji"
Qihengjun " what happened?"
Lan qiren just shakes his head.
They weren't completed their reunion then everything turned dark a voice could be heard all over.

" Taking rest in swaying boat and enjoying the breeze a boy grew up while flying discoloring paper kites . All gossips to him were nothing since his heart was determined, righteous and fearless even he was burned with fire himself he sympathized with others. He was never afraid of death but his past becomes the people's topic of chat"

Everyone  was confused that who the goddess was talking about. Lan wangji's hand was around his husband's waist but he was in deep thinking.
Everyone was thinking who on the earth was this legendary pure soul.

" His life ended in nightless city. people blamed him with baseless excuses. For a promise he dropped his sword and picked up a flute. Although the rumors goes on but he never defended himself people varied everyone had their own versions. He also loved someone he( lover) plucked the string and wore cloud pattern clothes Qin was played in his dreams ever since he saw the glance of his lover. he never said anything since his heart was pure, played flute to fight against all, now his fame will rise everyone will know how his life was"

Now everyone knew who the goddess were talking about they again wanted to say some ridiculous things but they didn't dare since they were afraid of goddess. lan wangji's hand tightened around his husband's waist while Wei wuxian was thinking if he was dreaming. madam lan,Qihengjun, Wei changze, cangse sanren, Jiang fengmian, madam yu were still confused who was the person goddess was talking about but they choose to shut up and saw whatever was going on.

Lines of goddess was from a song of the untamed " the ending melody of chenqing" it had beautiful lyrics so I choose to use them.
