Wei wuxian wanted to  wash his face to have a gaze upon the face of body's owner after death, but there wasn't any water in the room, not even for drinking or washing.

The only basin-like container was probably he suspected for lavatory purpose instead of cleansing.

He pushed the door, but it was fastened with a latch , probably prevent him from wondering outside.

Then a noise come from his stomach then he realized it wasn't related to spiritual power at all and the problem was this body hasn't practiced inedia and felt hunger. If he didn't scavenge for food he might become the first villainous ghoul who was starved to death upon his arrival.

" my god was he always dramatic like that?"  some people exclaimed.
" yeah he was the most dramatic person ever"  Jiang cheng answered making everyone laugh but also shocked as the didn't expect jiang cheng to answer. Wei wuxian just rolled his eyes and said " not more than you cheng cheng"  " shut up"  jiang cheng said but soon his smile faded as he remembered how close they were before everyone went wrong. Wei wuxian came closer to him put his hand in jiang cheng's shoulder and said" it wasn't your fault angry lotus" then he laughed his heart out Watching his little brother expression.
" what exactly happened A-xian?"  Wei wuxian's mother asked with concern but every parents also had the same question
" you will see soon"  He answered and smiled sadly but lan wangji grabbed his waist and give him a hug that change Wei wuxian's mood immediately.

Wei wuxian lift his foot and was about to kick the door open , when suddenly the sound of approaching footsteps appeared. Someone stomped on the door and grunted" it's mealtime"

Nonetheless there was no indication of door being opened. Wei wuxian lowered his head and saw a miniature door on the bottom of this one opening with a small bowl set in front of it.

The servent outside shouted again " chop-chop ! what are you waiting for ? take the bowl out after you finish. "
" They really treat mo xuanyu like an animal , poor boy"

The door was slightly smaller than kind for dogs to crawl through- it didn't allow the passage of human but was enough for a bowl to pass through it. There were two dishes and one serving of rice which looked quiet unpleasant.

Wei wuxian played with pair of chopsticks that were stuck in it and felt better.

The yilling patriarch has just come into the mortal world and upon his arrival he was greeted with kick and scolding not to mention  the leftover servent served him as a welcoming meal. Where were the blood and gore? The ruthless slaughter ? The absolute destruction? Who would believe him? He was lime a tiger in flatland, The dragon in shallow water, Phoenix without feather, losing his advantage and belittled by those who are weaker than him.
 
indeed no one will ever believe that the most feared yilling patriarch was treated like this upon his arrival.

Then the servent spoke again but this time with laughter. " A- ding come here"

The sweet girl answered through a distance" A- tong you are delivering meal to the one in there?"

A-tong clicked his tongue" why else will I come in this omnious courtyard?"

A-ding's voice come closer as if she is in front of door " you just deliver one meal a day and no  one cares if you are lazy. This is such an idle task , yet you think it's omnious. Look at me I am busy to the point that I can't even go outside to play."

A- tong complained " delivering his meal is not the only thing I do! How can you dare to go outside these days? with so many corpse walking out there, everyone's is locking themselves in their house."

Wei wuxian squatted by the door and listened while eating.

It appeared that ever since a while ago the mo village hasn't been peaceful. Walking corpse like their name were dead people who move. Unless the deceased person held some strong resentment,  they were usually dull eyed and sluggish. They weren't overly dangerous but they were enough to alarm an average person especially their vomit inducing stench.

However to Wei wuxian they were the most obeying puppet.  When he heard them being mentioned he even felt some sense of familiarty.

" Look at him, this unruly brat he felt familiarty from corpse."   sect leader Yao exclaimed
" shut up you old man doesn't your mouth hurts after cursing so much?"   Jingyi retorted
" jingyi language "  Lan xichen reminded him Lan qiren looked at lan wangji thinking he should give punishment to jingyi but lan wangji had other intention.
" aren't you going to punish him wangji?"  Lan qiren asked
" did he say anything wrong? there isn't any punishment for right things old man" wei wuxian answered on behalf of his husband as he know lan wangji isn't going to say anything.
" jingyi definitely get this habit from you!!"  lan qiren huffed but he knew wei wuxian was right so he didn't make any mess.
While all juniors laughed at their senior web's antiques.
Lan xichen just shooked his head while smiling.
A- tong seemed to be making face" if you want to go outside you will have to take me so that I can protect you "

A- ding replied " you ? protect me? stop bragging . Are you sure you can defeat those things?"

A- tong said bitterly " if I can't defeat them , other people can't either."
