The debate of the game

Chapter 1

Lisa POV

A thing I learned at an early age is that one friend in a storm is worth more than a thousand friends in the sunshine.

"Lisa I brought you snacks!",my best friend Jihyo says to me handing me  some truffle fries.

I take one then continue with my sketch, Jihyo watches me draw all the time and often likes to call me a nerd, but she also says I could be an artist.

"What will you do when you graduate school?",Jihyo asks. "I want to study political science",I tell her. "What about design?",Jihyo asks. "Design won't bring money in for my family",I tell her.

I lost my parents at a young age and live with my grandma and younger sister Lily, my grandma owns a flower shop and even though it's doing well it doesn't pay for all the expenses.

So I took a job teaching art to other people to earn more money.

"Yah Lisa are you really leaving me alone?",Jihyo asks me making me look up from my sketch. "I got a scholarship it's good for me and my family, but you know I'll miss you!",I say trying to hold back tears.

"I know, but I'll miss you here at home while your at college",Jihyo says. "I'm sorry",I say as I feel guilty for leaving her behind. "It's a good opportunity, I'll study here and then when you become president of the world you come get me!",Jihyo says holding her pinky out to me.

"And we'll have a double wedding and huge mansions!",I say linking our pinkies.

AUTHOR POV

The next day...

"Unnie please don't go!!", Lisa's 7 year old sister Lily wines. She clung onto Lisa's leg as Lisa walked down with her suitcase.

"Lily you're sister will come back to visit",grandma said. "Pii saao don't make me emotional",Lisa said picking her sister up. (Pii saao was sister in Thai)

"Ani Unnie don't leave me!",Lily said hugging Lisa tightly. "I don't want to, but when I study there I can make more money after and come back",Lisa said rubbing her back. "Really will you be able to pay for all of yai's medical bills?",Lily asked.

"Yes I will",Lisa said. "Then you can go, but I'll still miss you!", Lily said. "Not as much as I will",Jihyo said standing in the doorway. "Jihyo!",Lisa said holding her arms out.

Jihyo ran straight into a tight embrace from her best friend since childhood, they had been inseparable since Lisa helped Jihyo defend herself against bullies in the 1st grade.

Now it was all ending...For now.
