Before the match begins at the bench next to the soccer field where Raimon is, Kogure already changed to the Raimon soccer uniform as he put on his cleats.
"Do your best Kogure-kun", Haruna encouraged him.
While tying his shoe lace, he glanced at Yuri and noticed her nodding to him, looking confident. Kogure turned his head back and remembered something she told him months ago.............
Flashback.................
"Ushishishi", Kogure sniggered quietly while sitting on the floor, behind the wall. He took a peek over to see Yuri, wearing a Manyuuji uniform for girls, walking with Lucky. Infront of them ahead was an invisible tripwire that is attached to something that will fall on both of them. Kogure turned back behind the wall and sniggered quietly.
"Once she trips the wire, she's going to be splashed with water and an unexpected surprise. Ushishishi", he whispered quietly with a mischiveous grin.
"There you are Kogure. I've been looking for you everywhere."
Kogure stopped laughing the looked up see Yuri and Lucky smiling at him. Yuri was holding the bucket of water and a little brown frog sat on her shoulder. Kogure stared at them with a blank face.
He blinked a twice then stumbled back with a shout in a startle. "Y,you... How did you avoid that!?"
"When we were searching for you, this bucket of water with the frog inside suddenly dropped infront of me so I quickly caught it", she explained. "That's quite a nice try you try to pull there."
Kogure groaned in frustration, stood up and point his finger at her. "I kept on trying to prank you so many times, but you always manage to avoid them so easily!"
Yuri giggled while putting the bucket down. "Well, you'll have to try harder until you manage to come up with so something I wouldn't see it coming... Say, I asked Kakita why you couldn't trust anyone and he told me earlier the reason is because your parents abandoned because you were betrayed by your parents. Is it true?"
Kogure narrowed his eyes and turned his head away. Yuri sensed his feelings of pain and sadness.
"Hai", he answered quietly while nodded, still looking away.
"Could it be that you're abandoned?"
Kogure quickly turned his head to her, looking complete shocked and surprised. "How did you..."
"I had a thought for a long time you might have been abandoned. I know and understand what it's like to be abandoned and betrayed by someone you love, trust and care about because i know some people very well who are also betrayed in the same way just like you do", Yuri said sadly, looking as if she remember something in her mind.
Kogure looked down, staring at the floor. "Ever since my mom abandoned me, I decided to only trust myself because other people might abandon me too for sure."
"That's not true", she stated. Kogure looked up to her in confusion. "Not everybody's like that, there will be someone someday who will have faith and believe in you, even not giving up on you no matter what. That someone will never abandon you including other people who are the same too. They are the kind of people you can trust to."
Kogure scoffed. "Yeah right. Did you come find me just to tell me that?"
"That's only one reason why, another reason why I came looking for you is because I liked to say goodbye to you. My exchange programme here has ended and I'll be leaving tomorrow." Yuri looked up at the beautiful, orange sunset as the wind blew through her hair gently. "Soon, I'll be going to another exchange programme at the overseas for 3 months." She looked back to Kogure. "I had a good time here, arigatou Kogure. I hoipe we'll see each other again soon someday. Come on Lucky, let's go."
