[Dimple] Short Story

*1* ~ ice cream

"my precious little girl. Come give daddy a hug," Namjoon said as he walked closer to his 9 year old daughter.
"HI daddy," she says as she hugs him.
His face softens as he smiles and pets her head

"How's my little girl? You look beautiful today" he asked the little girl gently as he looks down at her.
"I'm doing good, daddy"
she says as she gives him a big smile.

"You're adorable. Do you want ice cream?" He asks as he smiles back at his daughter.
"Yes," she say happily, liking the sound of it. Loving to spend time with her father.
"Okay, we can go get pizza and ice cream. That sounds good, right?" he asks her as he looks at her lovingly.
"Yes that sounds great" she smiles, showing her dimples.

"You're so adorable. You've inherited my dimples, didn't you?" He says, smiling as well.
"Yepp. Now let's get ice cream" she say as she grabs her father's hand as she drags him out the door.

His eyes light up as he leads her down the street and into the shop

"What flavor are you getting, my love? I'm getting a double scoop. One caramel and the other mint chocolate chip" he says as he looks down at her as they hold hands.

"I want that one" she say as she points to the rainbow ice cream on the flyer.
"So colorful just like you" he says as he smiles down at her.

he goes to the counter and orders the ice cream. He takes out his card and pays for them. He waits a little until the girl at the counter gives him both the ice creams. He then moves the rainbow ice cream down to his daughter.

"Here you go. I knew you would want the rainbow ice cream" He says as she happily grabs the ice cream. He then walks to an empty table and he sits down with his daughter infront of him. He takes a lick of his ice cream, before he speaks up.
"Let's enjoy these lovely desserts"

They eat the ice cream together, looking like the perfect father-daughter. "Do you want to try, daddy?" The little girl asks her father. She had a little bit of Ice cream around her mouth as she moved a spoon of her ice cream to him.

He smiles as he let's his daughter feed him a bite of her ice cream. He hums a little as he tastes it.
"That's delicious, my girl. I see you've inherited my taste buds" he smiles at her.
She smiles, showing her dimples again.

"Such a cute smile you have. I'm so lucky to be your father.
He gives her a small kiss on the forehead before he pats her head again. She giggle a little as her father starts messing up her hair. "And I'm happy that you're my daddy"

He smiles. "And I'll always protect you. There's no one I'd rather have as my daughter. You mean the world to me. The thought of anything hurting you makes me sick to my stomach" he says to his daughter.

"And you know I will always do anything for you, don't you?"

"I know" she smiles as she continues eating her ice cream.

"Such a good girl. I'm proud of you, my girl. I just want to see you happy. You make me happy. I just want you to keep smiling and stay happy, you hear me?"

"Okay. I will" she says as she shows him her famous dimples. She finished the ice cream, with a little left on the sides of her mouth.

He cleaned her face gently in a fatherly manner before he spoke.
"There you go. You have a beautiful smile. The most beautiful smile I have ever seen. It's like the sun rising over the horizon. Just absolutely magnificent"

"I love you daddy" she says as she smiles at him. Feeling happy to hear his words.

"I love you too, my girl. Always and forever"
He gives her a fatherly kiss on the cheek. He takes her hand and leads her out of the shop. He grabs her empty ice cream cup and throws it in the trash.

"You're my little girl. I'm always going to be here for you"

"I'm here for you too" she says to him as they walk out the shop. They then start walking to the pizzeria.

"If I were in trouble, I know you'd be right by my side. You always have my back, and I promise, I'll always have yours. You don't have to worry about a thing so long as I'm around. I swear"

As they walk to the pizzeria, he strokes her hair with his hand in an affectionate manner. They walk for a little. The little girl smiles as she saw a man walk with their adorable, yet big dog. The man wore a cap on his head that covered his face a little. On his arm, you could see a tattoo show a little.

"Daddy look, can I pet them?" She asks as she points to the dog.

"Of course, I'll go with you"
He takes her hand and walks to the man with her. Making sure to keep his eyes on the man.

"Hello! That's a nice dog"
He say to the man friendly. A unfamiliar tone behind it.
"Is it alright if she can pet them?" He asks before looking down at her with a smile "My little girl here loves dogs"

"Yeah sure" The man says. The little girl smiles happily as she starts to pat the dog. The dog was almost as tall as her. The man looked down at her with a little smile. The dog seemed very friendly with her. He seemed to recognize that she was a good person, so he began to jump a little.

"You have a nice dog. What's his name?" He asks the man as he watches his daughter play with the dog.

"It's Bam" The man says as keeps his cap over his eyes. Namjoon nods before he strokes the dog's head. He looks at his daughter as he smiles at her.

"You have a way with dogs, my girl. They're always happy to be around you"

"Can I get a dog too?" She asks him with puppy eyes. His eyes widen as he looks at her with surprise. He smiles as he looks down at her adorable eyes.

"Oh! Of course, my girl. We'll get you a dog if you'd like. Would you want one like Bam? Or something different?"

"Can I get one like Bam?" She asks her father with a smile.

"Of course. Anything for you" he says to his daughter. He loved seeing her smile and being happy. He just wanted to pick her up and protect her from everything and everyone. They stay there as Namjoon watches his daughter play with the dog.

After a while, Namjoon told his daughter that they should continue their walk to the pizzeria. The little girl nodded and said goodbye to Bam and waved at the man with the cap. As they walked away, the man with the cap followed them with his eyes. He pulled his cap down as a smile crossed over his face.

He had found you.

He turned to his dog.

"Let's go Bam" he says as he walks away with his dog.
