unfortunately, you were separated from your group during a tour through a large abandoned island. It was rumored that the island used to have a village inhabited by hunters, some hunters believe in the legend of mermaids, while others believe in sea monsters. Some hunters Hunt for the purpose of further research, others only do it for the money and fame.

This village was extremely popular during the 1980's when multiple photos of these supposed 'mermaid's' began surfacing, the island was packed with tourists. Throughout the early 2000's, this popularity began to diminish after costs to enter this island began to skyrocket, along with a huge forest fire that ate most of the islands inhabitants. Because of this, many people eventually moved out – and by 2001, this island was declared abandoned.

Later on, the island was bought by scientists and explorers— before being closed once more at 2004 after seven people– four scientists and three explorers– went missing along with their boat. Over the years, many more people began going missing including investigators that entered the island. The island was deemed unsafe, and made it illegal for anyone to visit this island.

However, by the year 2020 it was reopened once more. Though, only a certain amount of people can visit, and only once or twice a year do they let people in. This was the first time you visit the island, There weren't many people. But that was an hour ago.

Right now? You have no idea where you are.

You paced around on the beach sand, you were panicking, to your surprise— your phone is gone, your bag's zipper is open by the slightest and only your phone was missing.

Your wallet was still there, everything else is there besides your phone and its charger. Are you seriously left out? Surely someone will notice your disappearance! Wait no– nobody in your group knew you, personally and literally. They probably wouldn't even notice you being gone, they all kept to themselves and barely made conversation. At least the tour guide would do a roll call, right?

Oh boy.

You're really stuck here, there were no signs of any boats either, the dock is empty. Are there security cameras? You quickly ran through the dirt path you once walked on, desperately trying to find a single sign of people being here (besides the footprints). About ten minutes of searching, you found one.

It was hidden quite well behind the tree leaves, if it weren't for the giant red light shining, it also had a leaf printing, huh. The device moves by a smidgen, staring down at you from high up. The sunlight seeped through the tree leaves, you began waving frantically like a lunatic.

"HEY! whoever the heck is behind this camera— I'm lost! Like— seriously lost! I'm separated from my group a-and.... Wait, can it even hear me? Does- does it even have a speaker?" You groaned, the red light quickly vanished, almost like it was turned off. The sunlight was bothering your eyes as you couldn't see it very clearly now.

You put on your sunglasses, waddling through the island to one of the spots they showed you. A cave, well- kind of. It was an entryway into a mountain that also has a huge opening to the other side of the island and right next to the beach. It was more isolated than the rest of the island, but it could work as a shelter, despite the absolute walking you had to do.

There were no visible buildings here, all burnt down and unlivable. Once you were in the cave, you sat atop the rocks near the edge as you watched the ocean water splash against the rocks. It was easy access to the sea, and could work as a cool looking dock.

A few hours have passed, the sun is going down. You spent a few hours scavenging parts of the island in hopes to find supplies that could potentially help you, maybe a cell phone, some food, or just- something. Not long, you found an abandoned bag full of stuff, it looked like it once belonged to an explorer.
