006 – Chey's POV

"Can I sleep over at your house just tonight, sis?" Janet immediately asked as soon as I opened my door.

"Sure, why not?" I let her enter my house and then closed the gate. I don't think Kai will come over tonight, though. And that makes me more worried.

"Is your boyfriend... coming over, too?" Janet asked as she got her pajamas out of her bag. She's been asking a lot about Kai these days. What's up with her?

"Nah. I don't think so." I pouted, "If he would be coming over, at least he should be here by now. I'm really worried, sis."

 

Janet came up to me and patted my shoulder, "I am more worried about you, Chey."

"Ugh, I can't sleep." It's almost midnight by now. Janet is already asleep. And here I am, feeling hot and sweaty even if the AC is on.

As the hours passed by, I can't help but feel more and more worried about Kai. I want to see him right now. I need to see him right now.

Wherever he is, I can't be at ease. I don't know what is this feeling. I really want to drag myself to where Kai is now.

Even what Janet said bothers me as well. Why is she more worried about me, just what does that means? My head is full of questions.

Until my head starts to hurt, "Kai, please, be safe." I whispered in thin air.

I dragged myself out of the bed, and went out. The air is kinda chilly outside, but I don't care. Good thing I have my phone right now, just in case.

As if on cue, my phone rang and I answered it immediately, "Kai! Where are you right now?"

 

["Babe, how are you?"]

 

"I-I miss you, Kai. I want to see you."

 

["You can come see me right now. Let's meet. I miss you too, baby."]

 

I'm relieved now after hearing his voice. I feel reassured, but I still do want to see him.
