Outside her balcony, a tall woman was standing outside admiring the moonlight. Melonie recognized those crimson locks.

With mounting fury, she uttered, "You."

Melonie grabbed a pencil from the coffee table, it's no wooden stake, but it will have to do. Laura looked behind her when she heard the sliding door slam open. "Moonlight! Hello, my darling. I must say dinner with you has been absolutely delicious."

"Cut the fancy talk! You ruined everything! You destroyed my life!" Melonie screamed

Laura walked toward Melonie with a smile and laughed, "I Liberated you, Melonie. Can't you see that?"

She touched Melonie's cheek, grazing her fingers against her cold skin. Laura's smiling face turned to shock as she looked down at her stomach. Melonie stabbed her with the pencil. As she retrieved the pencil from her shirt, Melonie noticed that the tip was clean and there was no sign of blood on it.

"Oh my sweet darling, Moonlight. You are such a fool-" She burst into maniacal laughter- "You're so adorable!"

Tears rolled down Melonie's face as she clutched her right hand into a fist. Who does this woman think she is? She dares laugh in her face. If she cannot die then she will suffer.

Melonie punched Laura in the nose as hard as she could. She stumbled backward onto the balcony's railing. Melonie pinned her down, she was trembling as tears fell onto Laura's face. Laura laid there in shock as Melonie berated her.

"You little bat! how do you think any of this is 'liberating'?! I am in pain in every way possible! I'm going to make you feel like the piece of trash that you are!"

Melonie couldn't take it anymore. She collapsed, crying. through her sobs all she could say was, "Make it stop."

"Moonlight," Laura said solemnly. the weight of the situation caught up to her.
