Behind her eyes

Chapter 2

Previously:

She looked down at her schedule again and nodded.

"Great, I'll walk with you."

"So you're trying to get me to like you, right?"

WHAT?!

"Wait wait wait! It's not what you think! I was just showing you around, since you're new and everything..." I yelled out nervously. Everybody in the hallway turned their head and stared at us. Oops. I rubbed the back of my head and grabbed River's hand.

"Come on, we should get you to Dr.Farone's."

"Ok, thanks..."

Our walk was silent the rest of the time. Yes I may like her but that doesn't mean she should blurt it out in front of the entire student population. When we stopped at the portable, I dropped my hand to my side. I can't say anything else... She embarrassed me beyond recognition.

"Listen... I'm sorry I said that thing out loud... I just thought that... I never really had a guy like me, so I was kinda desperate to be crushed on." She laughs nervously "I'm a terrible crush aren't I?" She whimpers, guilty.

"Nah, it's fine. Just don't pull anymore stunts like that."

We walk into the class right before the bell rings and take seats in the back.

"Alright everybody! Shut your traps!" Dr.Farone screeches.

I swear, that women is a banshee. I start fiddling with my pencil, ignoring her annoying voice. Then I tune back in to hear our assignment.

"Today is SSR (silent reading) so take out your books and read for thirty minutes."

I took out my book and phone then put my phone between my book pages so it would look like I'm reading when I'm actually playing video games. Every 5 minutes or so I would turn the page so my trick would look more convincing. I kept on dying on temple run. I can't beat the stupid highscore my friend set. I quit the app and look at the clock: 12:25, 5 more minutes til bell rings. Looks like Dr. Farone forgot to stop SSR twenty-five minutes ago. Retard. I start to pack up and a nerd yells out

"Five minutes til bell"

"Oh crap! I forgot to stop SSR! Why didn't you tell me?!" Dr. Farone screamed at us.

No one answered.

"Argh! Just pack up"

We all packed up silently and the bell rang. We quickly shoved our ways to the door and ran out of the hag's classroom. God she is such a bitch. I walked next to River on our way to lunch

"Hey. I got a great spot to eat. Wanna come with me?" I asked.

River slightly hesitated and stuttered. "W-well, u-uhm...I g-gotta go d-do s-something, first...."

She took a sharp right into the girls' bathroom and yelled out "Wait for me!"

*River's POV*

I quickly turned right into the bathroom and yelled at Derek to wait for me. I think I looked a little to suspicous because he had a weird look on his face. I couldn't let him know that I took special pills. He was the only guy that ever liked me. I couldn't let this school know either! They would all make fun of me, like they did at my old school. I dug out a pill bottle from the front pocket of my backpack. I like to call them the sane pills. ( F.Y.I guys sane means not crazy. Cause peope ask me alot what it means. Sane is taken from the word insane, so you guys should get it now ) I didn't wanna take these stupid pills. They make me...not myself... I stared at the small white bottle for a minute then threw it into the trashcan. No more of them for awhile. I flattened my hair and walked out of the bathroom.

*Derek's POV*

I leaned against the wall next to the girls' bathroom while people gave me dirty stares. I'm not peeking in on girls...I may be a perv, but not that much of a perv. I looked up to see River smiling at me.

"Oh, hey. Alright, where are we going again?" I ask.

"Lunch..." River replied while running her fingers through her golden hair

I grabbed her hand and walked outside by the benches then sat under a tree. I took out my lunch and started to eat.

"Hey, River." I tried to act as casual as possible. But she didn't seem to hear me. It was as if she was talking to someone else because she was mumbling stuff that was to low for me to hear. I tapped her shoulder and she quickly snapped her head up.

"What?!" She jerked up.

"Hey, would you like to go out some time?" I asked casually.

River quickly nodded her head in excitement.

"Saturday?"

I smirked at her, then stood up "How about now?" I grabbed her hand and lead her off campus. River looked a little anxious and worried, this must be her first time skipping.

"Don't worry, you're fine. We should have some fun!" I said enthiusatically.

River nodded as we ran over to the park. By the time we got there, her frown was replaced with a smile. River looked up at me then flipped her bangs away from her face. I leaned in close to kiss her but she tried to step back but ended up tripping over a rock. I chuckled as I helped her up.

"Not funny!" She cried out.

"It kinda is." I was laughing uncontrollaby.

She kicked my legs, knocking me from my feet and giving me a mouthful of sand. I got up as she was giggling then wiped the sand off my tongue.

"Oh thats it!" I picked her up and put her on my shoulder then ran over to the lake and threw her in. I wiped my hands and stood proudly as River's perfect hair was all wet and tangled and her make up was running.

"Sorry! I thought that you would be tired of rivers, so I let you have a taste of the lake!"

River furiously stared at me and put her hand out so I could pull her in. I took her hand, a amatuer mistake, and she pulled me in.

"DAMN IT RIVER!"

The beautiful witch smiled at me teasingly. I grabbed her by her arms and pulled her close to me then kissed her passionetely. For a moment she froze, wide-eyed, but quickly started to embrace my kiss. We stood there for several moments wrapped in each other arms being warmed by our heated kisses. I finally pulled back and gazed into her big blue eyes.

*River's POV*

Derek was gazing into me with his sparkling hazel eyes. I loved how their was a tint of a green in his eyes too. I ran my fingers through his spiky brown hair and kissed him one last time.

Don't trust him. He will betray you. Kill him. He doesn't love you. No one loves you. Kill every girl he is near. Oh no... the voices...they're starting again. I nervously shifted my eyes around while the voices abused me. I finally had enough

"LEAVE ME ALONE!"  I shrieked. Derek stared at me with confusion and I had to run off. I trudged through the heavy water and ran home.

I pulled open the door and quickly slammed it shut, shaking the whole house. I ran into my bedroom and took my sharpener then popped the blade of it out. I had to do it. They would shut up. I deeply cut my forearm and shivered in pleasure. They gave one last comment and faded away. I kept cutting and cutting my arm and thighs. The pain was sheer pleasure. I moaned from the last cut and realized that my blood was running onto the covers. So let it bleed. I licked the blood from my arm and smiled seductively. I'm back.....
