He opened the door to the room, revealing a scene of chaos: papers flying around, toys strewn across the floor, and five energetic kids darting back and forth. My heart hammered in my chest as a pair of big innocent eyes fell on me. A small girl with a teddy bear, who had been watching the chaos from a corner, toddled over.
"You're here!" She announced, holding up her teddy bear. "Mr. Snuggles has been waiting for you!"
I bent down to her level, "Well, I'm pleased to meet both of you."
Turning back to tyler, who leaned against the door frame with an amused expression, I sighed, "You really should've mentioned the kids, you fuckin dick ." I muttered the end bit
"Where's the fun in that?" He asked, a mischievous glint in his eyes. Before I could retort, he continued, "Each of them has a different schedule. I'll send you the details. And remember, just a week."
"Just a week," I repeated, forcing a smile. "Thanks, sir."
As tyler walked away, I turned my attention back to the room full of children. "Alright, Mr. Snuggles," I said, picking up the teddy bear and holding it like a sword. "Let's conquer this week together."
Laughter and cheers erupted from the kids, and I couldn't help but laugh along. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. And just maybe, I might even come to enjoy this more than I'd expected. I watched the children, their faces alight with laughter and enthusiasm, and took a deep breath. It was just for a week. How hard could it be
