I grabbed some snakes and the parachute we'd gotten. "Do you want to do a snake? We have two." I offered one to the blonde fluff.
"Sure, they're always fun.." He smiled and took one, grabbing a lighter. He lit his, and then we watched the firework snake all over the pavement.
"Now your's looks like a snake," I laughed, "usually they look like a pile of poop..." I snickered while lighting mine. Like I'd predicted mine turned out looking nothing like a snake. George got a kick out of it, laughing as he watched it morph into whatever the pile of ash resembled.
I grabbed the parachute and let him light it. It sizzled before popping and flying into the air. "There it is!!" He spotted the parachute. "No no no no nooo..." I started running over to it. "You have the whole entire yard yet you choose to head straight to the one tree??" I don't know why my instinct was to run to it, it wasn't like I could navigate the flying object. It got closer and closer to the tree when it swung just a hair the opposite direction, barely missing the branch.
George ran past me and jumped up, grabbing the parachute. "Look at you, Mr. Athletic..." I laughed, catching up to him. "It just looked more fun to try to catch it than watch it fall."

9 pm
It was getting dark now, and George was carrying the bigger fireworks. I'd pulled the hose over, rather be safe than sorry... "Okay, you ready?" He asked, while bending down to light the first one. I grabbed my camera and stepped back. George ran back quickly, getting out of the way of the firework, a big grin on his face.
POW
The firework shot off into the sky and I started taking pictures. There were ooo's from all of us. "I'll do the next one!" Andy jumped up and grabbed another big one. "Ready... set..... GO!!" He ran back to where the rest of us were sitting. We'd invited Andy and his girlfriend over for dinner and fireworks.
"Would you want to do one y/f/n (your friend's name)?" She picked out a firework, lit it, and ran back, plugging her ears.
.......
Once we were done with our fireworks, Andy and his girlfriend decided to call it a night and go home. There were still a lot of other people setting off fireworks, so we decided to enjoy the show in our lawn chairs. I could see him look over at me, and finally he spoke up."Do you want to lay on my chair?" I stood up, not sure if he really wanted to swap... and if so, why?
Then when he didn't get up, he patted his legs. I laid down beside him and he put his arm around me, pulling me closer to him. I rested my head on his chest, and his free hand started playing with my hair gently. "I love you y/n..." I looked up into his face, "I love you too George." He brought our faces together, in a soft yet sweet and firm kiss.
A/N:
Hey guys sorry it's so short!! I wrote it last minute, working on it in the car while we drove to my grandparents house to celebrate the 4th. So I got to work on it for a few hours. The future imagines should be a bit longer. I would've added more to it, but I didn't want to post it a whole day after the 4th. Anyway, I hope you guys like it! Remember to comment, vote, and share! 😊
