Jungkook's POV
Ugh... bastard...
I told him not to but he's so persistent. My butt hurts... I can barely walk. I have to endure the pain a bit more.
"Are you sure you're alright Jungkook? you look like you're in pain"
I looked at Jisoo who has a face full of concern.
"Don't worry noona, I'm fine...just feeling a bit unwell..."
"Oh, then you should've just stayed home and rest"
"I can't noona even if I wanted to"
Taehyung sighed, "poor you Jungkookie... You had really worked hard these days, I think Jisoo's right, you need a break"
"But hyung, the deadline of grades is within this week... Card day is already this Saturday"
Jisoo and Taehyung looked at each other then looked back at me. They're so worried but it's all Namjoon's fault, hmph!
Then suddenly Taehyung's phone rang. "Oops, gotta take this call, see you later" he waved goodbye to us then left.
"I gotta go too Jungkook, I have class...take care" Jisoo said also before leaving. When they finally left, I sighed and laid back on my chair. Agh- still hurts...
Namjoon's POV
OTP (In Call)
"Bastard! What do you think?! You went so rough on him?! Aren't you aware that he has class today?! How can you be so careless?!"
"Well, I didn't mean to-"
"Don't give me that lame excuse. You even dare question if he's ok, how can he be ok after what you did?!"
All I can do was sigh, was it really too much? Gosh, I lost control last night... I wasn't planning to get drunk honestly but Jackson kept pushing me to drink more. I sighed again.
"I shouldn't have agreed with you last night, it's my fault to even obey an order from a drunk person aishh..." I heard him facepalming himself on the other side of the phone.
"You better apologize to him, got it?"
"I was planning to do that as well even if you hadn't asked me to"
"Hmph! Well, I gotta go... I have work to do"
*Call ended*
As soon as Taehyung hung up, I placed down my phone. I laid my back on the chair while massaging my temples, still not recovered from my hangover.
"I should pay a visit to Jungkook tonight instead of just sending a text to apologize" I thought.
Jungkook's POV
TIME SKIP
Card Day (Saturday)
"Last name?" I asked.
"Raynor sir"
"Ah, here you go" I said as I give her son's report card.
"Congratulations to your son ma'am" I smiled.
"Thank you" she smiled back and left.
"Next", a woman stood in front of me. She was wearing a simple yet elegant dress and wore sunglasses. I have never seen her before in the previous meetings with parents.
"Last name ma'am?"
"Carter"
"Ah, Ava Carter's mother probably... It was always her father who attends meetings" I thought. "Ah yes, please wait for a moment".
I handed her the report card. "Here you go, congratulations to your daughter"
She looked at the piece of paper in her hand then looked at me. I can't really tell what her expression is because of the sunglasses but I can feel her stare and it was making me uncomfortable.
"Is there any questions you would like to ask ma'am?"
"Hmm...let's see.." she replied. She's making me nervous, did I do something wrong?
"What's your name?" She asked.
"Jeon Jungkook, ma'am" then she proceeds to stare at me like she's trying to figure out something.
"Hmm... so you're my daughter's teacher"
"Y-yes ma'am, what of it?" she narrowed her eyes and stared at me again.
She hummed again and said " nothing", then left.
"What just happened?" I thought. Then I just shook it off and proceeded to hand out my students' report cards to their parents.
TIME SKIP
The meeting ended and Me, Jisoo and Taehyung decided to go eat lunch together outside. We stop by at a restaurant and ordered ourselves some food. While waiting I spotted Ava's mother again, she sat in a corner just texting on her phone. It looks like she's waiting for someone.
"Time goes by so quickly, in just a couple of months the school year will end" Taehyung started the conversation.
"Yeah, but it's always nice to see our students are growing up" she said with a smile.
Author's POV
Taehyung smiled back blushing a little. Then he looked at Jungkook who seems to have his attention somewhere else, so he called him.
"What do you think Jungkook? Don't you also agree with Jisoo-ssi?"
"H-huh? Sorry, what is it hyung? I wasn't listening" Jungkook said with a nervous laugh.
"Is there something bothering you Jungkook?" Jisoo asked worriedly.
He sighed. "I'm fine noona, it's just that-" he paused to look at Ava's mom.
"Hmm?" Jisoo looked at Jungkook wondering.
Jungkook sighed and with a bit of hesitation he said, "You see that lady over there?". He eyed towards the direction of the woman as Jisoo and Taehyung looked as well.
"That's Ava Carter's mother", he added. "This is the first time that we met but, the way she acted towards me was very strange."
"Strange how exactly?", Taehyung asked.
"She kept staring at me earlier... in a weird way"
"Ah, it's probably just because you're handsome", Jisoo assured Jungkook.
"Aishh noona... but I think that's not the case..."
"You're probably just stressed Jungkook, you only slept for a few hours this week that's why you're overthinking... so just take a rest hm?" Taehyug said as he placed his hand on Jungkook's shoulder.
He sighed, "Yeah... probably". Jungkook glanced at the woman again only to find that someone had already sat with her. They were having a serious conversation, and the man has his back facing towards Jungkook. The woman looked at Jungkook and made eye contact. He got startled and looked away. He got lost in his thoughts and was overthinking again when suddenly-
"Oh, Mr. Jeon Jungkook you're here" Jungkook was startled again and looked at the person who owns the voice.
"And Ms. Kim Jisoo and Mr. Kim Taehyung" Namjoon added.
"Sir Kim Namjoon!" Tae and Jisoo said in unison.
