Chapter 2

THE MAID AT PALACE

"Can I know who you are first?" Ella asked while looking deep into Felix's eyes with suspicious manners. "I came from the palace, you assigned yourself for a maid there, I'm here for some inspection." Felix said the first that came to his mind from reading her book.

"Oh, I didn't know there is such a thing, come in." She trusts people too fast, that's her weak point Felix thought as he knew.
They walked in, all there was a small room inside hitch everything is adjusted, a toilet and a bucket for shower—floor instead of a mattress or blanket at least, a sheet for the cold weather outside, a stove and some rice on the side.
Felix already knew her conditions and was ready to see all this, but looking at it with his naked eyes makes him uncomfortable, all he could imagine is, she lived here in this small room, all her life.

"I'm sorry for this inconvenience." She apologized once she saw the pity expression on Felix's face. "Oh! No no. Um I just have a few questions you can answer?" Felix switched the topic quick, she did a attentive nod with her head.

"I-you-um.." he stammered. Why? Because he actually doesn't have any questions, he knows her everything from the start till the next two months of hers.
  How she will be assaulted in the palace, harassed, will starve.
"What happen sir?" She asked innocently
"I may have to tell you the truth." He was scared he will be denied after he tells her that I read you in a book and I time traveled here.
   She wouldn't believe—why?
   First: he doesn't have proof he read her in a book, he didn't brought that stupid novel.
Second: technology was nowhere in that era.

"To you, who is the most closest to you? And knows the most about you?" Felix took few steps close to her, "I never had someone who was with me the whole time except me and myself."Ella replied with confidence but he knew she was on the urge to breakdown. "I know everything about you, from the moment you were born till now what has happened." Felix said and puts a string of her hair behind her ear.
   She took one step back, And asked, "Are you stalker?" Her fear raised and her hands trembled. "Maybe you are..even your clothes are weird." She said looking  at his modern way of dressing.
     "Hey! They are cool. I'm offended." Felix brought his childish self in the conversation. "And I'm not a stalker, I just read you in book, and I time traveled back to safe your drastic life." He bursted out.
  He didn't wanted to hide. He didn't wanted her to realize later he is from future.
Not like in movies where the heartbreak scene will also be there.
    This guy is more then just honest.

"Why the-Are you drunk? Early in the morning?!" She asked, she came close and smelled his breath, "You aren't?" She made a thinking expression and action.
    "Don't believe and die in two months." Felix said a suit yourself line.
"Give me proof." She simply asked.
"I'll name everything that happened to you, good and bad.." Felix suggested after few seconds of thinking hard on his brain.
   She slightly nodded. Felix sat on the floor.
"Your parents died in a accident at your hopeless age of 6, Jack, your first boyfriend, who dumped you, then Adam who cheated on you bad. Saif, who physically abused you.. your fake friends didn't support you when you were bullied in orphanage.
  The job places you've went till now all places you've been harassed in the most evil way possible." Felix said this all as if he had by-hearted this all.

"How?" She was too stunned to speak further. "How do you know all this?" She gathered up courage to ask. "Well I said, I read your book." He answered in a casual tone, Ella was panicking, she was scared.
   "How the- heck did my life come on a book?" She asked, more like screamed, she came to knees to reach his height, he was sitting on the floor.
   She held his both broad shoulders and shake them, chanted how? One quadrillion times.

"It was written ok? I don't know how. I'm here to help you." Felix himself doesn't know the exact answer to it. But somehow her life was written on some pieces of paper.
   "How will you help me?" She asked in confusion,
"Just let me stay with you." He said, she raised her eyebrow in confusion.

"I hardly can eat and sleep alone here, how'll you?" Ella asked. "I'll manage." Felix said and sat on the floor with Ella to cook something, "What do we have?" He asked, acting as if he is a chef and getting ready to cook a 5-star meal.
   "Haha, just plain rice." Ella laughed at his stupid actions. "That'll be easy, I'll get the water." He said and jumped up and ran outside to get some water from the river.
In no time he came back with enough water to cook and to also drink.
"Wow, you're fast." Ella was stunned. "I'm a men." He used his fingers to move his hair back from his eyes,
   He has soft blonde curls, water blue eyes and a baby face.
"You are a mesmerizing figure." Ella said once she snapped out of looking at Felix. "So are you Ella." He said and sat back on the ground.
 
"I didn't catch your name by the way." Ella asked.
"Felix." He said and pour the water in the bowl.
"Felix? It's different." She smiled as she was impressed by the name.
  "Have you heard of Cinderella?" Felix asked out fo nowhere.
"What's that?" She asked cluelessly while taking a cup full of rice.
"Hell nah! You haven't? Cool. Now you are Cinderella.." Felix suddenly got too excited to name her that.
  "What is it young boy?" She asked as she wasn't understanding what he meant.
"Ok so in out era, like 2023 and sos, years back from it, there is this cartoon called Cinderella, she is a girl, her name actually is Ella, but her evil step sisters named her that..it's like a really famous show." Felix explained.

Ella's lips formed a 'o' and she nodded in agreement. They continued cooking the rice and even ate right there.
    For sleep, it's kind of hard.
"We have to lay beside each other, are you comfortable with it?"
Ella asked, "Why will I have problem?" He asked and laid down, she also laid beside him and they uncomfortably shared the sheet.

It was unbelievable for Felix, he is finally being able to have a start to change Ella's life. He doesn't know what he is gonna do after bringing her a happy ending, but eh knows he'll be too attached to leave after, right now he needs to gain Ella's actual trust, this trust Ella gives to everyone, the special one is only for the people she is comfortable with. Laying beside Felix doesn't mean it's started.
    It means, I trust you, but only partially her mind can instantly change if one suspicious act is done.
    He already made a list of things he wants to do with her in his mind.
