Will led him through a path, they reached a steel door with a small window. Mike watched Will take a hoop of keys out of his pocket, fiddling with them until picking out a green coated key. He put the key in, turning it before hearing a click. He stepped out of the way, letting Mike in first. Mike opened the door, revealing huge succulents. Mike knew this plant very well from his older sister, Nancy. Ever since she moved in with her boyfriend, she's been obsessing over plants, especially cacti and succulents. So, judging by how many there were, he could tell this room was meant to be warm. Mike let out an exhale of relief, his lanky body soaking in the humid air. Mike noticed the floor was not floor, but tiny rocks. Rows and rows of tall and small cacti stood in front of him, making him smile. He couldn't help but feel like a task like this for a small boy like Will was hard to do. Will was about Mike's height, which was about 5'10, except skinnier. Mike could've picked him up easily, but that'd be weird. Will walked to the back of the greenhouse, taking a turn to the left swiftly.

"Are you coming?"

Mike followed the same path Will took, the rocks crunching under his worn-out Vans. Mike had a thing for rubber toed shoes, especially ones with laces. He thought things like Nike or Adidas was stupid. Mike turned his head slightly to see a small garden table, two rustic bar stools with matching yellow covers standing beside it. Mike sat down on the stool, finding it odd that Will just disappeared. He took a minute to process the room, taking in the humid air and the greenery that surrounded him. All the succulents looked different, some sharp, some tall, while some just looked carnivorous. Will finally appeared, holding a white watering can.

"Sorry, can I water some of them really quick?" He asked, smiling softly. Mike nodded, giving him a dismissive wave. Will smiled wider before walking down the aisles one by one, leaning up or down to water the succulents. Mike heard a small mutter, coming from Will's area.

"He talks to his plants," Mike thought. He smiled to himself. He leaned his head against the palm of his hand, watching Will closely as he walked around. He closed his eyes, listening to Will hum a song. A few minutes passed and he soon started to feel tired. He folded his arms, laying them in front of him so he could lay his chin on them. Just when he was about to drift off, he felt a tap on his shoulder. He launched up, blushing when he met eyes with Will.

"Hi, I'm closing up--I just wanted to see if you were awake." Mike looked at his watch. 5:50.

"Damn, I slept that long?" He chuckled hoarsely, rubbing his eyes.

"Yeah, when you fell asleep I figured I could go water the other plants in the greenhouse."

Mike flushed a light pink, thinking of how kind he was. He needed the sleep--badly.

"So, do you live far?" Will asked, tilting his head slightly as he slipped his baby blue apron off.

"Shit--yeah. I don't think the next bus comes until 7." Mike sighed to himself. Will bit the inside of his cheek, he tapped his pointer finger against his left arm as he crossed them.

"You can stay at my place for the night," He spoke softly,"If you want to of course." Mike thought for a second before nodding with a smirk on his face. Will smiled.

Timeskip

Will opened the door to a small apartment, Mike being pulled into a soft cinnamon smell.

"You can set your stuff on the couch, the bathroom is the second room down the hall to the left. There's towels in there if you need to shower, and if you want, I can make us some ramen if you are hungry. Also, my cat is around here somewhere. Her name is Matcha. She will bite you."

Mike smiled. He was more of a dog person but he wouldn't complain. He had a dog of his own, a small, beagle that he named Bagel. Mike sat his stuff down on a small velvet colored couch, looking around before sitting down softly. Will emerged from the hallway, wearing a baggy t-shirt and shorts. The shirt draped off his shoulder, revealing his collar bone. Mike felt his face heat up as he gazed at his smooth exposed skin. He took a minute to look around, stopping at a certain picture frame hung on the wall. Will smushed between two boys--the one on the left with curly, brown hair and a toothless smile. To his right, a boy with black curly hair that stuck up, with a smirk on his face as he wrapped his arm around Will's shoulder. Will's eyes--completely focused on the camera of whoever took the picture. His smile was bright, yet soft. His eyes had a glint of excitement as he wrapped both his arms around the two boys. Since Will was the tallest of the 3, he crouched down, letting the other two wrap their arms around him comfortably.

"Those are my friends." Mike jumped, silently squeaked as his arms came up defensively. Will laughed, "Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" He put his hand on Mike's shoulder, rubbing it slightly with his thumb. Mike's face, once again flushed a baby pink. Will noticed, bringing his hand up to bring Mike's face down to his height. Since Mike was about 5'10, Will had to be about 5'9.

"You good? Your face is warm," he spoke softly. Mike just stared into his eyes. "Okay well I'm going to go get the thermometer." Will let go of his face, taking a few steps back before something caught his arm. He looked back, seeing Mike's grip on his forearm. His head was down from embarrassment, trying his best to hide his face.

"I'm fine, I really am. You just spooked me." Will smiled softly, bringing his hand back up to cup Mike's right cheek.

"You sure?" He whispered.

"Definitely." Mike whispered back. The two stood there for a moment, taking in each other's beauty. Will looked into his eyes, sinking into the dark void of Mike's. Mike looked into his, melting into Will's hand. Will took a step closer, now placing both of his hands on either side of his face. He brushed a few strands of curls away from Mike's eyes, making him blush even more. Mike leaned into his warm touch, his eyes dropping down to Will's lips. His soft, pink lips. Mike fantasized what they'd taste like as he leaned in closer. Will's eye lids drooped, picking his head up slightly. The two could feel the other's hot breath on their lips.

Beep! Beep!

"Shit the ramen!"
