7th of April 2023"Gracie! Gracie wait!" Morgan called out as she rushed over to her former girlfriend. Gracie had just finished her set and people were now starting to clear out. Everyone except Morgan. Gracie knew they would wait, she tried not to make it obvious so she pretended to walk away from the stage. Only to immediately stop when she heard her name being called.
"Why are you here Morgan?" Gracie asked as she turned around the face the woman. She had changed over the three years they had been apart from each other. Morgan had grown around 4 inches taller, now making her reach the height of six foot. She was also now sporting a new tomboyish haircut, the sides were faded with the top slightly longer and pushed back.
"I uh... it's funny when I think about the months where I couldn't get out of bed" Morgan says as she starts off her speech, "I was just constantly going back and forth over the letters that I wrote but never sent to you. Even though I would wake up and repeat it, I was barely sleeping. I was so deeply stuck in the memories that i didn't realise you weren't still in my head" Morgan says as Gracie sits down on the edge of the stage. Morgan moves to sit herself down next to Gracie.
"Morgan, we have too much time on our hands. I mean, I was so caught up in the things that we were planning that I ended up chasing feelings I didn't quite understand" Gracie opened up, feeling comfortable with the rare atmosphere created.
"I get it. I thought I'd be good the day I took down all your pictures in my room" Morgan laughs in amusement at her next sentence, "how'd it go from easier to everything still leading back to you?" Morgan asked rhetorically, the question hanging in the air between the two exes. After a couple of seconds, Gracie turns towards Morgan.
"Can I be honest?" She asks as she looks deep into Morgan's eyes. Morgan hums in response, allowing her to continue.
"I think about you constantly" Gracie admits as they stare at each other for a moment.
And that one moment just might have changed everything...
