Our Bond #2

Gyuvin rushes down to the kitchen to find his mother, but she is not there. The boy rushes back to his room calls a taxi and makes his way to the hospital.

As he approached the hospital entrance he could see a familiar figure. It was Yejun waiting for the boy "I would have come to drag you out if you were any later" Yejun says in a somewhat serious tone. "So, tell me what happens. Why was my brother like that?" she asked not giving the anxious boy a chance to break. Gyuvin replies feeling guilty and slightly confused "Well, I indirectly told Yujin not to come to my birthday knowing how that could hurt him,I am sorry I didn't know this would happen", Yejun puts her right hand on her chest over her heart as she speaks "Thank goodness, I though you two fought. Maybe Yujin is dealing with other stress". Gyuvin still does not understand why would someone he considers healthy young boy be suddenly hospitalized out of nowhere. Yejun could see the confusion on Gyuvin's face so she decided to explain the situation "It is just that Yujin happens to have been born with a weak heart. All this time, he managed so well thanks to you but it seems that lately, he has been worried about things that I am not aware of. Gyuvinna it's not your fault so don't blame yourself, I was just anxious and looking for someone to blame I guess", Sincerity could be heard from her tone.

Gyuvin still not processing the situation fully asks "Why don't I know about this? about Yujin's health". The girl felt guilty "Well, mum was gonna tell you a long time ago but seeing how much you care for Yujin she thought it would only pressure you and recently Yujin made it firm not to tell you so.. I am truly sorry" she apologized.

"Where is he?" Gyuvin asks. Yejun leads the way as the concerned boy follows behind. Once they reached the room Yujin was in they could see Yujin's mum staring at her son through the glass as it is a restricted room. "Auntie? how's he?" the boy ask in a trembling and cracked voice. "He is fine, he is strong. Gyuvinna don't worry too much Yujin will wakes up in no time" she tries to reassure knowing how much it could hurt the boys. Gyuvin makes steps closer to the glass wall to see the semi-conscious boy. Gyuvin clinched his fists seeing how Yujin is hooked with wires to the machine, Tears escaped silently before he started sobbing as he placed his palm on the glass wall. "Yujinna, wake up Hyung is here" he begged.

"Gyuvinna, you should go home and come back tomorrow" Yujin's mum suggested finding it difficult to see the boy so hurt. Yejun agreed and approach Gyuvin pulling him from his wrist. "I will stay here with Yujin. He will be alone when he wakes up" says the boy determined, as he pull his hand from Yejun's grip. The mother and daughter understands so well that there is no way Gyuvin will leave when Yujin is in unconscious state. Gyuvin offers for the two ladies to go home and rest up as they look tired in his eyes. There is only only person allowed to stay the and Gyuvin understand how much his mum wants to stay but he can't just back off either. He looks down feeling bad, blaming himself.

"I will then take Yejun home. I leave Yujin in your care son. I will bring a change of clothes tomorrow morning for you" Yujin's mum agree as she feels that Yejun cannot be left alone either and it's not like she got someone reliable to look after her like her brother. The two ladies walks off the long and heavy corridor.

As soon as the two ladies disappear from his sight Gyuvin fells on his knees as he let out what he has been holding in. He cries out loud not caring people eyeing him strangely. He continues to apologise until between his sobbing. He wants to rib his heart out and give it to Yujin, he wants Yujin back healthy and well. He feels guilty for not knowing how much Yujin must have suffered from this sickness all alone. He blame himself for not knowing anything and worse of all he hurts Yujin just before he collapsed. He feels that he doesn't deserve to live if Yujin doesn't wake up. Gyuvin could not stop crying, he continues to cry until his vision goes black.

Back at Yujin's place...
"Mum, will Gyuvin be okay?" Yejun ask very concern for the said mail. "No, he will blame himself for everything that Yujin has suffered. He will not be fine and that's why I am going back. You' should go to aunts house" her replies knowing what could possibly happens to the boy. As they are talking, their door bell rang and it was Gyuvin's mum and his brother.

"Sister.." Yujin's mum greet but finding her expression strange. "I received a call from the hospital. Gyuvinnie collapsed" she tears up as she says.

In the hospital....
Gyuvin could feel himself feeling light headed. What just happens? He ask himself, eyes still tightly shut. He could feel how weak his body has become. Yujin.. Yuj...   Even in his state Yujin was the only person in his mind. Gyuvin finds himself feeling weaker as he falls into sleep. He could hear the nurses and doctors talking from distance feeling like dreams as he drift off to sleep.

The next morning..
Gyuvin could hear people talking in the area but couldn't be clear who is talking as he remains his eyes shut and too lazy to open them. He could sense that someone sits beside him. Soon before long that someone holds his hand and it comes to Gyuvin that he knows who thieves pair of hands belong to. He tried to open his eyes still feeling a bit heavy... "Yujin?" He speaks in a very low voice as he could see who it is. It was non other than Yujin himself, sitting beside the bed Gyuvin was lying and holding his hyungs hand to keep him warm. Yujin rest his head on the edge of the bed half asleep. The older boy couldn't believe that Yujin has woken up and is beside him once more.
Yujinnn...nie...Yujinnie.....   he mumble under his breath as he slowly gather his strength to sit up. His movement wakes the half sleeping boy up "Hyung!!" Yujin claims with full of energy.

Without saying anything Gyuvin pulls him in his embrace, giving the boy a very longing hug. "Yujinna, please forgive me. Please" Gyuvin begged "what is there for me to forgive? You haven't done anything wrong. I have been sick for a long time and just feels a bit ill, non of these are your fault" the younger boy tries to reassure him. Yujin pulls away and now it his turn to cup the older boys face and he wasted no time. As Yujin takes Gyuvin's face in his hand he continues to reassure the boy "Hyung, if it wasn't for you I could have been in and out of hospital. You took such good care of me to the point I sometimes forget that my limits to doing things. Hyung thank you for being always there for me".

I love you hyung.. Yujin says in his mind

Yujinna, you are my world and I love you and you alone... Gyuvin says in his mind and not able to say it out loud in fear ther it will disturb the younger's life and future. Although, it is now clear to the boy who matters the most in his life. He comes to learn that if there is not Yujin then there is no reason for him to live on, the you has been and will always be his universe
