I was on fire
For as long as I could remember
Your love was the only warmth
I had known
So I adapted
I learned to bear it
I was burning alive
But it was okay
Because it kept us warm
Your love set me on fire
I wished someone would just see
That I was set a flame for you
Your convenience
Your comfort
One day someone saw
Through the flames
And finally set me out
I was on fire
For so long
It felt like I was drowning
Without it
