Edith gasped awake as she sat up. She looked around to see coffins around her and in front of her was the back of Mystic Falls High School. "Stefan, what did you do?" Edith mumbled under her breath as she exited what was revealed as a truck.
"Mom?" Aiden walked over to Edith. "You're awake." He quickly hugged her.
Edith hugged back. "What happened?" She looked around. "Where's your uncle?"
Aiden let go of Edith. "Rebekah stabbed him in the stomach with a crowbar, I looked away to see the rest." Aiden pointed at the back door of the school. "But I saw him walk into the school to go and try to save Elena."
Edith groaned as she slightly threw her head back. "He's going to kill himself." She looked at the back door. "Ok, Aiden." Edith placed her hands on Aiden's shoulders. "Stay here, I got to go help whoever."
The young boy whined. "But-"
"Stay here, Aiden." Edith's voice became stern. "I'm serious. Who knows what's going to happen, but at least I know you're out here."
Aiden looked back and forth between the school and his mother then stopped at his mother. He groaned "Fine," he slightly nodded his head. "But if something goes wrong, I'm coming in."
The ginger laughed. "I got this, kiddo." She played in the boy's hair. "I'm Edith freaking Salvatore."Edith smiled before she ran to the door.

The loud bang and scream of Elena's voice along with Klaus yelling coming from the gym caught Edith's attention. She quickly walked through the doors revealing Klaus holding Stefan by the neck and Elena along with two other students on the floor.
"Let her go." Edith looked at her brother with slight fear in her eyes of what Klaus would do to him. "I'll do whatever you want. You have my word."
"Your word doesn't mean much." Edith saw Klaus's grip tighten. "I lived by your word all summer during which time I never had to resort to this." Klaus tilted his head down as he compelled Stefan. "Stop fighting."
"Klaus!" Edith yelled at the hybrid a red ball of energy orbing in her hand. "Let him go."
Klaus looked at the young Salvatore girl, surprised to see her awake. Despite his rage, his love for Edith took over, but not enough for him to listen. "Sorry love, but your brother needs to learn his lesson."
"Don't do this. Don't do this." Stefan begged as he tried to speak.
"I didn't want to." Klaus put Stefan in front of him blocking him from Edith. "All I wanted was your allegiance. Now I'm gonna take it."
