Sam woke up in the middle of the forest. She felt twigs and leaves against her skin and everything seemed to ache. Her head throbbed as she tried to pull herself up, she had no idea how she had got there. From where she was she could see the house, smoke was coming from the chimney. "I wonder who's lighting a fire at a time like this," she thought to herself.

Sam stayed on her knees and rested for awhile, it was too much effort to get up. When Sam felt fully rested she got up and started walking back to the house, it was her goal to get everyone who was still alive out and back to Perth. As Sam walked the scenery changed and the house disappeared, a thick fog grew and she could not see where she was going. "Someone HELP ME!" She screamed. Sam started running, all she could feel was the sweat dripping down her face and all she could hear was her footsteps and the sound of her heart beating fast in her chest. As she ran her foot knocked against something hard. "Ouch!" She yelped. She looked down to see what she had hit. It was a slab of concrete.

As the area cleared she saw slabs of concrete. Seven in total. The one she had hit had the name of "Nick" on it. Sam searched through all the gravestones, every single on had a name of a squad member except for her. "Am I the only one alive or are these predicting the future of everyone," she thought to herself. Sam stood still for a second she heard footsteps behind her, before she could make a move someone jumped on her and she felt nails go into the back of her neck. She screamed and struggled. Caleb was the one who had landed on her. His eyes were red, he was a vampire.

Sam knew that her time was up, just like the rest she would either die a horrible painful death or live the rest of her days as a vampire. "BANG BANG!" Someone had shot caleb with a silver bullet, his dead body flopped and the blood dripped all over sam. Sam let out a cry. Sam pushed Caleb's body off herself and lay on the ground in total shock of the events had just taken place. She lay there for what felt like an hour and it seemed as if she was about to doze off to sleep.

Suddenly Sam felt cold hands grab her arms from underneath her, she felt a weak tug then it became stronger and stronger. She was being pulled into the ground. She did not scream, no one would be there to hear them.
