Leafa had never before seen anybody fight like such a demon.. Mikoto Misaka dashed in at incredible speeds, bypassing the magic flames that were hurled at her like it was nobody's business. She launched herself in the air and came down, whirling her blade in such frenzied blows and attacks it was like watching a cat eared human shredder.

Her sword sparked against the shields again.. but this time, the strength of her attack was such, that she managed to knock back a few of the shield holders.. though the defense still wasn't broken..

Once more of course, the mages in back sent a hurling blast of fire at Mikoto.

True to what Mikoto had requested, Leafa immediately held up her hands and recited her own spell.. and a wind shield surrounded Mikoto temporarily, blocking the flame magic.

As much as Leafa admired Railgun's positively enormous battle ferocity, she wasn't seeing how the heck she was going to break through the Salamander lines.

The Salamanders sent more flames spells hurtling at Mikoto, and Leafa felt stunned. Her wind spell couldn't reactivate that quickly!!

But Mikoto was already swinging around her sword, blocking the flames using an SAO technique called Spinning Shield.

Again!? She deflected magic!? Theoretically it could be done, but you had to be quick at slicing your blade into the exact center point of the spell coming at you! It required unrivaled skill. The skill of one who had been playing VRs nonstop and refining their sword play.

Leafa wondered if Railgun was trying to drag out the battle, keep the spell casters casting until they ran out of mana. Then use the opportunity to strike the shield holders and then instantly use her speed to get behind the shield men and hack them apart.

However, a fight like that could take hours, and there was no way a mere speed and attack based Avatar, even one like Railgun's, could tank out a fight that long.. especially when Leafa herself was liable to run out of mana as well.

"Big Sis!" Yui poked her head out of Mikoto's hair where she had hidden. "I have a spell for you to use! But you're going to have to time it right!"

Mikoto grinned. "Knew I could count on you! Alright! Lay it on me!"

"LOOK OUT!!!" Leafa put on another wind shield over Mikoto as more flames exploded around her... in the swirling flames, Mikoto began to recite a spell.

"What?" Leafa muttered. "That's an IRL Remembrance Spell!"

The IRL Remembrance Spell was a spell that used the Amusphere's interface to go straight into the player's memory and allow them to choose any one thing from the real world, and temporarily create a copy of it in the game. Usually it was just used as a spell to share somebody's cooking recipe with another player, or something else.. as IRL lives tended to be boring. And depending on the size of whatever you copied, it consumed a bunch of mana, so if you decided to bring in a tank you saw when you were 5, and you didn't know how to operate one.. it was pretty much a waste of a spell to even THINK about using it in combat!

Or at least.. that's how it usually was.. depending on the things you've seen in real life..

A great giant green smoke surrounded Mikoto, swirling high into the air, indicating whatever Mikoto had pulled from her memory was huge...

And a ginormous dragon's head tore out of the mist, it's long scaly spiked neck extending longer and longer as it roared viciously, sending a shockwave blasting out from it's mouth as it tore forward.

"WHAT THE!?" Leafa exclaimed in absolute shock. Just where would somebody see something like that!?

As she thought this, seven more ginormous dragon heads burst out of the cloud, each of them looking different from the other, one had a neck completely made of flames with a skull for a head, another looked like it had the mouth and head of an earth worm.. another had one large eye made of energy, another had a long bladed horn.. 8 dragon heads total raged out and roared and viciously arched their necks over the shield men and let their jaws come viciously raging down at the ones behind.
