Kazuto found it strange that Kuroko didn't complain about Mikoto staying at his place. Usually, she reacted quite jealously around Kazuto. Even though Kazuto always assured Kuroko that the relationship between him and Mikoto was more brotherly and sisterly then romantic.. and that they had dated once in SAO only to break up later on mutual agreement, Kuroko still always gave Kazuto the suspicious look, and sometimes, like with Touma, would teleport out of nowhere and kick him in the head whenever she thought he was getting too close.

Kuroko just smiled dreamily, staring at the ceiling as she handed Kazuto a set of Mikoto's folded clothes, toothbrush, and other essentials, while muttering to herself. "Sissy in ALfheim.. heheheheheh.."

This made Kazuto really wonder about what Mikoto told Kuroko about ALO. Was Kuroko getting turned on by the concept of a Misaka with cat ears and a tail?

However, he had to admit, it was easy for others to get the wrong idea.. while Mikoto didn't do any of the stuff with him that he did with Asuna, she did act extremely comfortable around him, and at times his mother (actually his aunt.) would ask him if he was dating Mikoto.

Kazuto sometimes suspected that one of the reasons Mikoto had such a close relationship with him, was because she met him when she had nobody else. In SAO, she had nothing, no memory, no friends, Kirito the Black Swordsman was the only who had talked to her without a scathing tone. He even bought her food whenever she blatantly refused his charity.

When Kirito first met Mikoto, he could tell she was lost and confused. The way she got hot headed far more easily then anybody normally would, even though Mikoto was inherently hot headed to begin with.. the way she kept on assuming Kirito was trying to use her at first.. he couldn't help it, he couldn't leave her alone to suffer in a game that was already hell.

"Excuse me? Sir? Sir?"

Kazuto shook himself out of his thoughts. He was standing in one of Academy City's convenience stores, and the girl at the front desk was holding his shopping bag. "Sir.. you need to pay."

"Oh.. sure." Kazuto handed the girl his debit card. It wasn't long before he turned around, and accidentally bumped into somebody he absolutely wished he wouldn't see again.

"Hey!" said Mugino. "Watch where you're going sword boy!"

"Y-you." Kazuto stepped back.

"Easy kid, I'm not going to fight you here." said Mugino. "I'm angry, not reckless. There are too many people here for me to get wild.."

"Glad you're at least a bit considerate." Kazuto muttered. "What do you want?"

"Nothing! I just happened to bump into you here!" said Mugino, rolling her eyes. "Besides, that idiot scientist fired me after I failed to kill you last time.. Like I care.. he's such an idiot coward, thinking that because he presides over that stupid ALO game that he's some kind of god."

"Listen.. I know you and I aren't friends.. or anything even close to that." said Kazuto. "But.. did she say anything about-?

"About your girl?" finished Mugino. "Just that he has an unhealthy obsession with her.. and.. he also has an unhealthy obsession with Railgun.."

"What do you mean.."

Mugino rolled her eyes again.. "I mean, that after that stupid Number 3 interfered with my attempt to kill you.. my former client's gone ballistic angry at that girl.."

Kazuto could feel his insides grow extremely cold as his heart pounded with fear.. he took his cellphone out and clicked on Suguha's number frantically.

"Damn it!" Kazuto growled. "No pick up!! DAMN IT!!"

As Kazuto ran out of the store.. Mugino sighed. "Jeez.. the things people do for their families.."
