Kadence POV
I woke up to a bright light in my face I knew that I was in the hospital. I hear the door open and in comes August.
"Hey you're up... How ya feelin' ma?" "In pain a little but I'm fine. Thank you by the way." He chuckles "Thank me when I do something. I was just simply helping a friend in need."
The door opens again and this time it's my doctor. "How are you doing Ms. Young? I'm Dr. Jones." "I've been better Doc." "Okay, well you're good to go. We just had to bandage your head, you didn't loose much blood other than that you're fine. You're a strong survivor young lady." "Why thank you." "Well I'll be back let me get your discharge papers."
I look at August "Help me up please?" "Sure ma. But when we get into the car imma need to talk to you." He says with a serious face.
"Here you go Ms. Young." And I sign the papers. "Okay you're good to go! Have a nice day."
August POV
I help Kadence get into the car. I have so many questions in my head that I want to ask her.
"Kadence what happened last night after I dropped you off?" At first she hesitated to answer. "Last night Dietrick, my boyfriend was drunk and... He just started to beat me" "Is this his first time putting his hands on ya??" She looked down in her lap and shook her head no.
Who tf is stupid enough to put their hands on a beautiful woman like this? Nah she can't go through this anymore. She's coming with me. "Kadence, you not stayin' there no more. You comin' wit me, you can stay in my guest house or if that makes you uncomfortable you can stay in a hotel but you're not stay here wit ol' dude. We gonna go to ya house and get ya some clothes." Before she could even reply we were at her house. "Come on" I help her out the car and go in the house. "Where's ya room ma?" "Up the stairs, first door on the right" "okay come on. I'll carry ya" we head to her room and start packing. In 20 minutes she has enough clothes to last her 2 weeks. If she needs more I'lol buy her more. We get back in the car. "So do you want to stay with me or go to a hotel?" "I'll stay with you" "Then off we go"
