Chapter 3

Kadence POV

"Hey girl!" Said my friend Rell. Rell has been there for me since I've started working here at the hospital. She's like my second mom just a little older than me.

"Hey boo wazzup?"

"Girl yo baby is driving me crazy!"

"What did Deantrè do now?" Deantrè is a little boy that's comes to the hospital everyday. His mom put him up for adoption when he was first born and I was the one that helped deliver him. So ever since November 8 2012 I fell in love with this little boy.

"He took all the spongebob and Micky Mouse bandaids and put them all over his arms, legs and face."

I chuckle "Lawd that's my baby. what would you do without him?"

"I would have less grey hairs that's for sure." She mumbled. "Oh by the way he wanted to see you. He said he missed his future boo."

-_- "Now you know you're wrong for that. I'm about to go see him." I wonder what my little man wants. Deantrè is the sweetest kid I ever met. I don't know why any parent wouldn't want him. If I wasn't in the situation that I'm in I would definitely adopt him.

"Hey Trè."

"Hey mo- I mean Ms. Kady how are you?"

I chuckle at his slip up. "I'm fine and you?"

"I'm good. You wanted to see me?" I asked him

"Yeah! I haven't seen you all weekend, I missed you!" He says as he jumps in my arms.

"Awe I missed you too sweetie."

"Ms. Kady can you be my mommy?"

I smile. "Deantrè we've had this conversation before you know my answer."

He frowned "I know. Just thought I should try again." He said while looking down.

I thought for a second. "How about this, I'm planning a trip pretty soon and I'll take you with me!"

His face lights up. "That would be awesome! I would love to go!" He said before kissing my cheek.

"Okay well I'll let you know when and tell your guardian okay?"

"Okay" he says still cheering.

"Okay well I'll see you later okay?" I kiss his forehead

"Alright Ms. Kady"

1 hour later

"Kadence lets go out tonight."

"Rell now you-"

"Ugh I know I know. But you need a break. Besides you never go out him on the other hand goes out all the time"

"I don't know Rell..."
"Come on Kady just this one time?" She says giving me puppy dog eyes.

"Okay fine I'll go but just this once though."

"Yasss okay I have just the dress for you at my house let's go!" She rejoiced and dragged me out the hospital.
