Third Person POV
"For over a century, We have lived in secret; hiding in the shadows, alone in the world. Until now. I am a vampire. And this is my story." Stefan says
Stefan is on the roof.
" I shouldn't have come home. I know the risk. But I had no choice. I have to know her." He says
He Jumps off roof
Stefan walks inside the school.
"Hold up. Who's this?" Bonnie says "All I see is back." Elena says " It's a hot back." Bonnie replies
In the school office.
"Your records are incomplete. You're missing immunization records, and we do insist on transcripts." There secretary says
"Please look again. I'm sure everything you need is there." Stefan pulls his sunglasses down.
Stefan compels the secretary.
" Well, you're right. So it is." She says
Outside the school office.
" I'm sensing Seattle, and he plays the guitar." Bonnie says
"You're really going to run this whole psychic thing into the ground, huh?" Elena asks
"Pretty much." Bonnie says
Outside the school office, Bonnie watches Stefan.
"Thank you." Stefan says" You're welcome." The secretary replies
Outside the boy's bathroom.
"Uh, pardon me. Um...is this the men's room?" Stefan asks
"Yes. Um, I was just, Um—I was just—It's a long story...." Elena replies
Elena tries to pass. Stefan makes way for her.
"Thank you." She says
Elena walks into the cemetery and writes in her diary.
" Dear diary, I made it through the day. I must have said, "I'm fine, thanks," at least thirty-seven times. And I didn't mean it once. But no one noticed. When someone asks, "How are you?" They really don't want an answer." Elena writes in her diary
A crow appears on her parents grave stone.
"Okay. Hi, bird. That's not creepy or anything. Shoo!" Elena shoos the bird away
The bird flies off.
" That's what I thought." She says
[The crow reappears and fog starts to ascend around the cemetery. A man is standing behind a tomb. Elena starts to run.]
"Ahh!" Elena yells
Elena trips and falls. She gets up and sees Stefan.
"You okay?" Stefan asks
"Were you following me?" She asks
"No, I-a, uh, I-a just — I saw you fall." He says
" Uh-huh, and you just happened to be hanging out in a cemetery." Elena says
"I'm visiting. I have family here." He says
"Oh. Wow. Tactless. I'm sorry. It's the fog, It's making me foggy. And then back there, there was this - this bird, and it was all very Hitchcock for a second. That is the bird movie, right, the Hitchcock?...I'm Elena." She says
" I'm Stefan." he says
" I know. We have History together." She says
"And English and French." Stefan says
"Right." Elena says
Stefan pulls a leaf out of Elena's hair.
"Thanks...Nice ring." She say
s"Oh. Um, It's a family ring, yeah. I'm kinda stuck with it. It's weird, huh?" He says
"No, no. It's just, I mean, there are rings and then there's that." She says
"Did you hurt yourself?" He asks
"Hmm?" She says
"Did you hurt yourself?" He asks again
" Oh, uh, I don't know." She says
Elena pulls up her pant leg and sees a cut gushing blood.
"Oh! Would you look at that. That is not pretty." She says
Stefan turns around and his face changes.
" Are you okay?" She asks
Stefan's eyes start to change
"You should go. Take care of that." He says "Really, it's nothing." She says
She turns around but Stefan has disappeared.
Stefan is writing in his diary.
"I lost control today. Everything I've kept buried inside came rushing to the surface. I'm simply not able to resist her." He says as he writes
Avery POV
I was walking into Daddy's room to see him writing in his diary.
"What you writing?" I asked walking in his room.
"Remember that girl I told you about?" He says as I sit in his lap.
"Uh huh," I say as I nod
"I almost lost control." He says
"But you won't." I say as I smile up at him
"I'm going to a party tonight so you're going to have to stay with Zack." Daddy says.
"Ugh but it's so boring here." I say
"He chuckles just stay out of trouble." He says kissing my forehead.
After leaving. I am sitting in the living room hanging upside down on the couch. bored out of my mind. It's been a few hours.
I sniff. I smell a familiar smell.
I sit up
I see Uncle Damon,
"Uncle Damon." I say rushing to him. He scooped me up in his arms.
"Hey shorty," He smiles and carries me upstairs.
