A Day in Summer | Taekook

01 The Invasion

Taehyung ran quickly down some stairs at the university. Running around in broad daylight made him sweat profusely considering it was summer. But he is not alone here. He saw there were many people who rushed out of the campus building.

Hysterical screams and terrified howls were heard everywhere. The atmosphere was so tense even though it was a sunny day. The sun was shining brightly when it was almost twelve o'clock.

Taehyung wiped his sweaty forehead. His whole body was shaking. At noon today, the air temperature was hot. And right now, he felt that this place was extremely terrifying and gripping for him.

He needed to get back to his apartment as soon as possible. That's exactly as suggested by the authorities for all citizens of the city. The morning's lecture was suddenly stopped and it happened not without reason.

Something very, very bad has happened. It was making him scared to death.

Taehyung continued to walk quickly along with many other people. His throat felt dry and he was thirsty. His silver-blonde hair was slightly drenched with sweat.

His apartment is located just a few blocks from the university. But Taehyung felt the walk to get there was longer than usual.

He saw that there were several people wearing strange white costumes. And they are everywhere. Taehyung didn't even dare to look at them.

Many people were running scared. Sirens of police cars and fire engines were deafening to his ears. Not to mention the screams of frightened people running for their lives. They're being threatened.

Taehyung was getting restless. He sped up his steps when he overheard what their conversation was, those strange and foreign people in their weird, white costumes. He shuddered in dread and horror.

He looked away and screamed in silence. He covered his mouth with his palms when he saw corpses lying in the streets. There was the sound of gunfire from a distance. It seemed like it happened in the city center.

Taehyung was getting scared and nervous. He kept walking. He could see his apartment room was getting closer. But when he was about to open the door, it was locked from the inside.

"Jungkook?! Jungkook, open up! Let me in, Jungkook, please!" Taehyung rambles out in panic as he begged desperately. He had reached the door of his apartment room when he realized that the spare key was not in the pocket of his jeans.

"I'm coming," he heard his husband's come and yelled from inside, as well as his rushed footsteps that were getting closer to the door.

"God, are you okay? You look so pale," Jungkook asked as he opened the door for his husband. Indeed, he was worried.

Taehyung nodded as he rushed in, "Hurry up, close the door and lock it!" Taehyung gasped. He had a hard time controlling his ragged breaths. Frightened, he went to all the window panes and quickly closed all the curtains.

"I saw the news on TV. I really didn't get it. What happened?" Jungkook responded after he locked the door.

Taehyung immediately headed for the kitchen followed by Jungkook. Clearly he had a panic attack and had trouble catching his breath, "I need a glass of water. Hurry, please," he said, still standing in front of the kitchen sink. His knees are so weak and limp like jelly.

"Okay, alright. Easy, Honey. Take a deep breath," Jungkook countered. Then he's getting a glass of water for Taehyung, "There you go, have a drink."

"You're not gonna believe what I saw. Things are so messed up. It's horrible, Baby! I'm scared... I swear I don't think that they would-" he squeaked.

"Sshhh, easy now... Sit here and tell me what happened, slowly," Jungkook immediately came closer and hugged his frightened husband's body.

"T-they're coming for us, Kook. Those freaks, they're coming. They're wearing these weird white costumes. They're speaking with weird accents. They-, they're everywhere! They're attacking the city, they're coming after us!" Taehyung chewed his lower lips and started to sob.

"What? But, but what for? And who are they?" Jungkook was confused. Despite everything, he was scared too.

"I heard one of them say, they want to rule the city. They are coming to take over this country as well as the whole world!" Taehyung deadpanned.

"No way!" Jungkook widened his eyes and frowned. He snorted in frustration as he brushed his hair back with his right hand.

"I'm not lying! That's what I heard. I'm telling the truth. They're invading us and this entire city. A-and they said, th-they came all the way from Earth."

Hey, guys. How is it going? Hope you are doing well and loving this Taekook one-shot. I was bored so I wrote this.

Inspired by 134340 by BTS, E.T. by Katy Perry and some horror movies, A Day in Summer is the shortest (and probably the weirdest science fiction) Taekook one-shot I've ever written LOL. They are both aliens. And this couple happened to settle in a city and a country on another planet. Then the Earth humans invaded the aliens Taehyung and Jungkook.
