"Let's get readyyyyyyyy to RUMBLEEEEEE" yelled out Anbu, in a black and white referee shirt.
"Where's my shirt?!" yelled Mace, shirtless. "ANBU!!!"
I kneeled against the ground, waiting for the fight to start. My nerves begin to stutter as I glance at Arcane's staff. He picks up some gravel and rubs it on the handle of the staff. After a while, I see the Safety Unit rush to the battle field.
"Cast: Formation Plus - Battle Barrier!" The 5 safety units surround me and Arcane in a giant dome, separating us from Mr. Zeake and the rest of the cadets.
"Dude are you seeing this?" Anbu asks Rico, knowing he's blind.
"Unlike you I can see more than the fight, I see the outcome too."
"Don't be such a party pooper man, I'm just joshin' ya!" Anbu laughs, patting Rico's shoulder.

Remaining motionless, I stand my ground as Arcane initiates his opening move. With a resolute focus, he utters the words,
"Time Cast: Formation 0 - Time Rift!"
However, instead of impulsively charging towards Arcane, I choose a different path. As the rift materializes, I calmly position myself and allow its gravitational pull to draw me in. Falling through the rift, I maintain closed eyes, ascending into the ethereal heights once again.
Amidst this ascension, I discern the unmistakable sound of another rift cracking open, with Arcane positioned within, wielding his staff, poised for action. Filled with a sense of certainty, I silently affirm, "This is too easy. It's over, Yena." Little did he know that my plan was set in motion.
And in that fleeting moment, as Arcane believes he has me within his grasp, he triumphantly exclaims, "I GOT YOU!" But unbeknownst to him, the tables are about to turn.
Seizing the opportunity, I instantaneously take action.
"Flame Cast: Formation 1 - Inferno Discus!"
I unleash a flurry of blazing shurikens, hurtling towards Arcane with fiery brilliance. Although he manages to evade my discus, it serves as an effective diversion. Capitalizing on his momentary distraction, I propel myself towards another rift, seamlessly navigating its otherworldly path.
Emerging through the rift, I find myself positioned directly behind Arcane as we both descend towards the earth. Concealed in the shadows, he frantically searches for my presence, unaware of my strategic maneuver.
"Flame Cast: Formation 0 - Flaming Strike!" With precision and agility, I execute a powerful strike, landing a blow on Arcane's back. Witnessing his stumble forward, I relentlessly continue my onslaught, delivering a series of scorching blows. Arcane, now struggling to initiate another cast, is overwhelmed by the relentless barrage of fiery attacks.
Attempting to regain control of the battle, Arcane begins to utter the words, "Time Ca--" but before he can finish, a thunderous impact resonates through the air.
A devastating blow strikes Arcane's stomach, forcing him to collapse onto the ground, defeated and vanquished.
"Looks like the match is over! Yena has defeated Arcane in a ranked battle to fight Rizongoku!" Yelled Anbu, cheering loudly.
I hear cheers from Sookie and Anbu as Rico and Rizon claps for me. Although through the crowd I can hear Vera booing at me.
"Booo! Beginners luck!" Vera states over the crowd.
"Stop being so mean all your life, pinky" Leila says in response to her.
I walked up to Arcane to help him up. He accepts my hand and regains his footing. "Nice battle, man" he says to me. "Thank you, you're a very worthy fighter, Father Time"
After the crowd silences, I hear Mace open the male corridor doors, wearing his pajamas. "What did I miss?"
After the fight, I go back into the male corridor to be greeted with hype music from Anbu, and Mace. I look around to see confetti on my bunk as well.
"Congratulations on not getting knocked out this time." Arcane says jokingly. I laugh.
"You may have won this battle, but the next fighter is no one to play with. Hanse Majin, holder of the Incinerator emitter. Just like your Emberform, but instead of making weapons, she can bend all kinds of eternal flames. You wouldn't be affected as much but I would watch out, she learned her 3 formations." Rico explains as he uses his eye to access the database of her.
I was in complete shock. No one learns their second formation until around half a year in training. This fight would be an easy lose if I didn't learn my second formation, or even master my first one.
I spent all night in the forest punching the trees, while Rizongoku stood there waiting on me to notice him. "I see your working harder than usual. Impressive."
Jumping back, he lands right in front of me. "Reading while trying to fight apparently helps me learn how to concentrate." I say to him.
"Not far from the objective, Yena. I'm starting to regret doubting you at first at Twin Sickles, slightly." He begins to leave
"I have a question--" Rizon pauses to hear Yena. "Why Hanse? That woman is dangerous. She knows more than me and you combined. It's not fair Rizongoku"
"Remind me what your cast is again..?"
"Emberform--"
"She should be easy to read then." He disappears in thin air. I realize it was just a Kami.
Getting back into the fight, I feel my anger bubbling up inside. "I can't do it," I keep repeating to myself, frustration building with each repetition. The more I say it, the more my rage intensifies. "I can't do it... I can't do it... I can't do it... I... CAN'T!"Suddenly, a surge of fury overtakes me, filling every inch of my being. I unleash a relentless barrage of strikes upon the nearby trees, my blows tearing through their trunks with astonishing force. The sound of destruction echoes all around, and within my mind, a name resounds like a thunderous chant.
"Unleash your might!"
Driven by this internal voice, I tap into an inner strength I never knew I possessed. With every strike, I let out a burst of power that defies all expectations. In this moment, there is no doubt in my mind. I push myself to the limits, fueled by the determination to fulfill my destiny. I press on, fighting with all my might, with this fiery feeling in my chest.
"Everyone wake up and suit up," said Rizongoku. "We're going to the Meadows. Mr. Zeake already gave us full permission."
He drove a bus into the meadows where a battleground was premade by the Safety Unit already.
"Everyone gather around, the match will begin."
"I'm not sure about that," an unknown voice emerges from the tall grasses from the distance.

(Author's note: I don't believe I went too far deep into Formations and casting so I'll explain it here, skip if you like.
Casting is their ability to access the power of whatever emitter they have, for example, Vera would have Shift Cast since she's a Body Shifter, or Rico would have Sight Cast since his emitter is his eyes.
Formations is the power level of the move. Beginning cadets usually have Formations 0-1. Formation 0 is the base form of an emitter's cast, the easiest one to master. Formations have 10 different levels, along with Plus, and Minus levels. Formation Plus is a helpful cast, rather that be a barrier like the Safety Unit, or a healing ability. Formation Minus is a destructive cast, which would cause negative effects to one's surroundings, or inflict a buff on one.)
