NIA POV
It was time, we arrived at the pool party. We stepped outside of the car and the party was crowded with a bunch of people. "Girl, what are you doing, follow me." Maya says snapping in my face. I stop admiring the house and follow Maya "so I know you don't like going out a lot but you need This." Maya says patting my shoulder "whatever Maya..." I say moving her hand off of me. "Don't be like that!!" She says engulfing me in a hug almost suffocating me "look, listen to me, I know you think your to good for this of something but, try it out, you might like it, your always at home and you need to go out more." She says releasing me from the hug. "Plus your an upcoming music artist so you need more people in the famous industry to know you." Nia finishes "I already know my music won't make it anywhere Nia , don't remind me.." I say. "Stop being such a downer and come on let's party!!!!!" Nia laughs. I look at Nia seeing the look of glee on her face also making me smile knowing she is happy, I laugh and walk alongside her, and we finally arrive at the pool.

Music playing in the background as everyone is singing along or dancing. Maya and I are separated from each other and I have no idea where she is. I head over to a table where drinks are located and I grab a cup "what you about to drink?" Someone asks me "nun ya." I say rolling my eyes "nah, don't be like that what you bouta pour in that cup, I recommend Henny." They say "hm, of course you do." I say pouring whatever I can get my hands on inside of the cup. "Trust me you don't wanna drink that, that's to strong for a girl like you." They say snatching the cup "nigga please, I've drank before." I say trying to get the cup back from them but failing "what's yo name?" They ask Holding the cup away from me "it's Nia, now give me the cup." I say struggling "well, my names Kai, and ima need you to chill." He said pouring whatever liquid was in the cup away and getting a new cup, and handing it to me. "Wait, Kai? Like Kai cenat?" I say looking at his face, I should've known, the voice the hair. "Yeah, you at AMP crib, you ain't know?" He says pouring me a drink. "No shit, I mean my friend just said to bring a bathing suit and follow her, she said it would be good for my music career." I say rolling my eyes. "Wait you rap?" He asks "nah I sing." I say taking a sip of the drink, I was always a light weight when it came to drinking and my throat burned from the drink "why don't you sing sum for me." He asks "I mean sure I guess, I mean I'm not good at free styling so ima just sing a song." I say taking another sip of my drink "bet, what song you finna sing?" He asks "I mean I'll sing after the storm by kahli uhchis." I say clearing my throat and singing the song. "Damn you can sing that shit was good." Kai says "thanks I guess." I say downing the rest of my drink. I see a guy wearing a ski mask walk over to Kai "duke said they bouta have a swimming contest better get over there." He says and Kai waves at me and runs away "hi." I say to the guy now replacing Kai's spot "wassup Ma' what you doing." He asks "I mean I'm drinking, want some?" I say offering him the cup. "What you drinking tho?" He asks looking in the cup "henny." I say "damn, we bouta get lit if you drinking Henny, and there ain't nun in that cup." He says pointing at the cup "shit, I think the alcohol kicking in." I laugh "damn then you don't need no more." He says grabbing the cup and refilling it and drinking. "Yes I doooo." I say snatching the cup and taking a sip. "You a lil greedy, you don't need no alcohol you need some water." He says grabbing my hand and taking me inside the house and sitting me on the couch. He gives me some water and I drink some of it "you good now?" He asks "yeah, I'm jus tired now..." I say "he sits beside me on the couch and rubs my back while I lean against him falling asleep from the comfort.
