In this AU the All Might and Sludge incident both happened during Izuku's second year of middle school.  This chapter will only be written in Third Person POV but it will follow the different characters at different times. Thank you for reading the disclaimer.

"I'm sorry but it's too dangerous for you to be a pro hero without a quirk. It's good to dream but your dreams should be attainable, like a police officer." He left Izuku there, on that very tall rooftop, by himself after crushing the boy's dream. Sure, he'd been told the same thing by everyone else in his life, but this was his idol! His hero! The one person he looked up to more than anything, the one person who always said that everyone could be a hero, no matter their quirk.

Izuk wasn't just hurt, he was disappointed, crushed even. He felt as though his heart and soul had shattered alongside his dream. He looked at the horizon from the rooftop. It looked so peaceful, so calming. He slowly turned around and headed towards the door connecting the roof to the building and started knocking. Once it was opened he was escorted down to the first floor by the building's security.

He started his walk home, letting his mom know that he would be stopping at the park and would most likely be home later than usual. He took a detour, not wanting to be around anyone at the moment when he saw something that shocked him. He hid behind the wall and peeked over the corner again.

It was this green thing and it was talking to someone, but their responses were muffled. The green thing started talking about taking over this person's body and using it to commit crimes, which freaked Izuku out a bit because there were no heroes nearby to help. Izuku was about to turn away when he saw the fire come out of the green thing. Is it slime? Or sludge maybe? Doesn't matter.

He saw more fire and recognized the pattern that it was coming out of. Izuku would bet his life that this hostage was Kacchan. Before he could think of what he was doing he went and attacked the sludge thing from behind. He noticed that the teeth and eyes were the only solid parts of the creature so he threw notebooks and other objects from his backpack at them.

Eventually, the sludge got annoyed with this child, opting to leave the hostage alone for a minute to go after the bothersome one. Izuku noticed and started running. He realized he felt weird as he was running and noticed that he was running over air vents. The green sludge thing didn't notice where they were and started yelling as he was split into many little piles of sludge because of the sudden wind from under him.

Izuku found as many empty containers as he could, old bottles, cans, tupperware, and filled them with parts of this sludge thing. Once he got all of the sludge off the street he took the containers to the police station and left it on the front desk when nobody was looking. He attached a note explaining the situation as well.

Izuku went to check on Katsuki after he left the police station but the underpass was empty. He just sighed and finished his walk home. He entered his apartment, smelling the delicious food his mother made, and said hello to her. He changed into a shirt that said 'flannel shirt' and a pair of basketball shorts before joining his mother for dinner.

After dinner, he went to his room to work on homework. After about an hour of homework, Izuku got bored and started to do more research on his favorite underground hero, Eraserhead. He was looking through a website when a caption caught his eye.

Eraserhead, hero or vigilante?

Izuku clicked on the link out of curiosity and started reading through the short article.

For those of you who don't know, I am an anonymous neutral reporter. I keep a neutral standpoint on any of my research. That being said, one could argue that the acclaimed hero Eraserhead is more of a vigilante. A hero is someone who uses their quirk to help the world with a hero's license. A vigilante is someone who uses their quirk to help the world illegally, which is why not many are around.
