"Lily time to get up, sweetheart" Felix said as he gently woke the girl up, she shifted in her bed as she did not want to move. "Mom it's Saturday.."
Felix shook his head as he made his way to her windows to let the sunlight in "yes I know but we have lots to do, so I suggest you get up" he said.
She moved around a little bit more before she dragged herself off the bed, today was a very important day for the girl. Her sweet 16th birthday party was just around the corner well actually 5 months from now to be exact but nevertheless this was a HUGE party, which meant she had to start planning months in advance. Today she was going to try on some dresses for the event along with Felix, Han, her sister in law and her best friend.
She quickly washed up and got ready for the fitting appointment that was in 30 minutes.
Felix was downstairs as he prepared food for his family, "Mom, where's dad ? I need to talk to him"
Hanuel asked as he grabbed a water from the fridge.
Felix who was on the phone pointed down the hallway which meant the home office.
"Yes Hannie .. I know but look we can't force them to have kids, when they're ready they'll do it - and I can't believe I'm even discussing my child procreating right now" he said as he cracked the egg in the pan. Felix began walking around to set the table, "Han they've been married for 2 months .. give them some time to enjoy themselves" Felix added.
Tae ran into the kitchen and snuck some bacon into his mouth, "Ma, do you think you can ask dad if I can borrow the car ?" he whispered while Felix was on the phone. "Hannie let me call you back .. okay bye" he said as he hung up the phone.
"Tae .. now why am I asking him ?" Felix hissed. Tae looked at the blonde with pleading eyes "mom you know dad won't say no to you, but to me he will because I'm "irresponsible" the boy exclaimed.
"Tae if you want to take over the business one day.. you need to be able to speak up and make your demands known" he said as he served everyone.
"Which means .. if you want to borrow the car, you ask your father yourself" he spat.
Tae groaned "ok but if he says no, can you back me up ?" He pleaded to which Felix rolled his eyes, "go call everyone before the food gets cold"
Hyunjin was in his office as he was on the phone, "Yes .. mhm .. well from what I'm hearing is it's a mafia from Busan who is quickly rising in the ranks, no I don't know the leader personally or anything"
Hyunjin heard the office door open where his son entered, "well I'll call you later chan .. alright, bye"
Hyunjin put the phone down, "yes my child, How can I help you ?" Hyunjin said as he began putting things away. Tae who stayed silent for a brief moment began to speak "Dad can you please please please PULEASEE, let me borrow the car tonight"
The boy asked as he entangled his fingers pleading.
Hyunjin didn't stop moving around, he just continued to pick up stuff "what does your mom say ?" He asked. "He told me to ask you"
and he also told me to tell you breakfast is ready."
"Well let's discuss at the table and you can make your argument on why I should let you"
The two men walked into the dining room where Felix was sitting with Hanuel, both talking.
"Hi my angel" Hyunjin said as he pecked his husband on the lips, "mhm another one" Felix asked and the man did not hesitate.
Their two sons looking at them in disgust,
"Hi mom, Hi dad" their eldest son came into the dining room, "Honey, I didn't know you were coming, do you want me to fix you a plate ?"
"No don't worry mom, I ate earlier"
He walked up to his little brothers embracing them in a hug "my baby brothers .. how I love you" he smiled. The two boys taken back by their older brothers hug, "ok that's enough .." Hanuel said.
Jinnie rolled his eyes at his brothers lack of affection then he greeted his parents "where's our princess ?" He inquired as he realized his sister wasn't there yet. "Here she comes" Tae said as the girl entered the room, she went up to her parents and hugged them and sat down next to her older brother. The family continued to eat and talk, the oldest son eating even though he said he was full.
But no one could really resist Felix's pancakes.
"So Brother how is the married life treating ya ?" Haneul asked, Jinnie looking at his younger brother as he knew he just wanted to tease. "It's amazing .. waiting for the day you join me" he smirked.
Haneul scoffed "yeah sure .."
Haneul was the second oldest child, and was the ultimate player, he was a very attractive man just like his father, dark black hair and sharp eyes and he did not let those good looks go to waste. Some would say he was cocky but in his mind, he was just confident. He was 18 years old and he had no plans to get married anytime soon, if he was being honest he didn't like the idea of settling down at this age .. or maybe at all.. but we've heard that line before.
Seong- Jin on the other hand aka Jinnie who's 19 was the complete opposite, he loved the idea of love, he thought it was the most beautiful thing to experience. Seeing his parents relationship and hearing their love story only furthered his decision in life to get married and settle down. So when he met his best friend and fell in love, he knew from that moment on he was destined to be a husband.
The two brothers would often bicker because they both believed their views on love were insane.
Jinnie believed his brother was stubborn and he can't live the "bachelor life" forever and Haneul believed his older brother was too young to be tying the knot and should "live his life"
Tae who is 16 was in the middle, he didn't want to date right now but he did eventually want to get married and he didn't care to who. According to him "he likes what he likes" and he also felt if it's meant to happen, it will. Right now he was enjoying himself and just living life. He looked a lot like Felix but with dark brown hair and his dads lips and nose and he was tall.
Lily who was 15 now .. Lily was .. you can say a mystery, no one really knew her views on love because she's never really shared it. She spent most of her time on herself and her friends and her extracurricular activities, she had many admirers but she's never discussed that with her family especially because of how protective her father and brothers were. So instead of riling everyone up, she just kept her mouth shut.
The family continued to eat when their Butler came in "Miss Lily .. there's a delivery for you" he smiled as he brought in a huge bouquet of pink lilies and a card, Lily was taken back by how beautiful they were, she opened the card to find a sweet message
Oh beautiful one,
I would like to cordially invite you to my birthday party, I hope you can come.
Lily smiled as she read it, "Aww it's from Lena's son, he's inviting me to his birthday" she said as she placed the card on the table and continued to eat.
Her family was frozen in place, they stopped eating the minute they heard it was from a boy.
Lily excused herself from the table as she was done eating and went to finish getting ready, once she was gone the boys immediately looked at their parents waiting to see what they were going to say.
Tae grabbed the card and read it, "isn't Lena's son like your age Jinnie ?" To which the brother nodded, "yeah, he'll be 20 this upcoming month" he said.
The brothers were annoyed at this, "you're not going to let her go are you ?" Haneul asked.
Felix looked at his husband who was stabbing his fork into his food, Lix immediately spoke up "boys can I speak your dad real quick .. alone" he said.
The boys immediately getting up and leaving the room to let their parents discuss in private.
Felix knew Hyunjin was pissed off "Baby .. you need to call Lena and tell her something before I do" he hissed. Felix immediately nodding "I agree it was inappropriate but what exactly do I tell her ?"
Hyunjin huffed he knew it wasn't Lena can't control what her son wants to do but it got him annoyed.
"Never mind .. you're right .. it's just-" he sighed as the blonde smiled "I know you worry about her but she'll be fine sweetheart, she's a smart girl and she has us .. ALWAYS."
Hyunjin's nerves finally calmed down and smiled at his love.
