Chapter 31 | Without Her

"I hadn't got any of those messages since more than a week. Plus, nothing suspicious or bad happened since the last few days. It's good to be that way, but I can't help getting anxious about the further days. It's scaring me to keep watching out like this, kind of like... waiting for her to attack. I hope everything will be fine and we'll be safe." 

I stare into his saddened eyes that didn't hold the romantic emotion anymore. "Everything will be alright. Let's go home?" I suggest since it's really late and it might be dangerous for anyone to find us here at this time. He nods and gets up, as I do the same and attempt putting our clothes back on before he opens the door for me to get into the car. He lazily walks to the other side to get into the driver's seat and drive us home. I really don't like the expression he's having on him. It hurts me to see him unhealthily worried about this.

- One year later -

12th November, 2020 

3 p.m.

'JUNGKOOK'S P.O.V'

"Did they find her?" I tensely ask Namjoon, one of my close friends who was also a police officer. I'm not in my sanity anymore. It's been 20 days since Y/N was missing and I've been panicking so much that I ended up in the hospital after fainting at my place. 

I enquired every person that I know who could be involved or at least had some sort of information about this. Hyunbin, his twin, Yeonhwa, Mia, their friends, and then I asked Lisa, Taehyung, Jimin and Yoongi too. They had no idea what happened to her. As for Yiren, It's been nearly a year she left Seoul since she got selected to a university far away. But she left it all and returned to Seoul for a short period as soon as she knew Y/N was kidnapped.

Lisa said she called Y/N to meet her downstairs at her home. But she never came down. Lisa started to worry and immediately called me since I had the spare key to her house. She wasn't there. There was only a broken vase on the floor and a curtain that was torn. Which indicated that my baby was forcefully pulled out of the house, through the back door. 

However, my girl was so smart she left evidence. There was short pieces of hair on the floor, and we also took the vase to the labs to trace the hand prints. We have the DNA now, but what for? We don't know whom to match it with. Plus, there we're no cameras in her home. Anyway, the police tracked the vehicle that had her. But after a certain distance, we lost track of it.

The footage of my little girl being dragged into the car, while that bastard was pulling her hair so hard and restricted her voice by palming her mouth, broke my heart. Not metaphorically. I could physically feel my heart cramp and thump so hard into my chest that I fainted. 

That bastard is going to die in my hands very soon. I'm going to torture him to death, because killing him within a second is of no worth. He has to feel every ounce of pain ten times the intensity with which he hurt my lovely angel. 

I woke up in the hospital the next day and plucked the injection out of me, destroyed good amount of hospital property and barged out the building, my hands bleeding from inappropriately pulling out the IV injection. But that was the last thing I cared about. I just wanted to see my baby, safe and sound. 

Before I could get out of the hospital perimeters, I almost fainted again due to my spiraling vision, until Jin caught me and forcefully pulled me back to the room while I was kicking and screaming my lungs out, calling out for her name as if she would be found right away. I was totally going berserk, and my heart rate was abnormally high it almost lead to a tetany. 

It's been 10 days since I was discharged from the hospital and they warned me to be really careful, and not to stress too much. Stupid words. How can I not be stressed about this when the person I love more than anything was being taken away and I have no idea what horrible things they could be doing to her.
