ANGST

Commotion 

"Do you have any final words to anyone here today, before your Titan is transferred, Eren?"

Eren looked at the beast in front of him, then to his comrades, the civilians of the walls, and finally...finally to his already crying boyfriend. He didn't want Levi there at his execution. The pain of seeing the raven so broken was unbearable.

Levi's tears were blurring the entire scene, but he knew what was going on. Hanji had their hand on the raven's shoulder, trying to comfort him. Eren exhaled and glanced back at the Warhammer who stared at him with a blank face.

"I do..." Eren paused and looked at Levi with a tear in his eye. "To Levi Ackerman." Liza's Titan glanced over and nodded. "Go ahead."

"Levi, a couple years ago I said we'd be together forever and that...we'd get married after the defeat of the Titans. But...that's looking impossible right now."

The small raven felt the pain grow stronger. It was really happening. He couldn't do anything to stop it, all he could do was watch through his teary eyes.

"It was our dream to get a home outside the walls, live near the sea, and have our happy ending. I'm sorry I ruined it. I killed many people, all in my fit of rage. I ran from the Scouts on an impulse, I only saw that one chance in Marley and didn't think twice... My idiocy resulted in the lives of many innocent people to be taken, in the exact same way that resulted my hatred for Titans in the first place."

Eren was pouring his heart into his speech, the love he felt for Levi was so immense that a small speech wouldn't cut it.

"I didn't want you here...it's painful to see you cry," the brunette paused, examining Levi's perfect features. Even while bawling, he's still as perfect as when he smiles in Eren's eyes.

"You're..." Eren had to pause, his voice was about to crack.

"You're a wonderful human, You were my friend, my captain, and my person...but now I have to give that up. I just felt... I felt like the entirety of the Scouts was against me, only seeing a monster...except you. You saw a person and not just a Titan..."

Eren paused again. Tears began welling up, he was trying his best to not cry.

"But I was stupid enough to overlook that fact and...well run away..."

"Eren..." Levi barely whispered.

"Running away from the Scouts—from you... If I could go back in time and tell myself: to trust the Scouts... I would do it a million times over, if it meant—if it meant you wouldn't be crying. I hate anything that makes you cry..." He looked down at his shirtless body. All Eren wanted to do was hug his suffering Levi, his little raven that was already going through a heartbreak.

"And... I hate myself...a lot because I'm making you cry. You don't deserve to be crying like this, you deserve to be happy..."

"Don't hate yourself, you dumb Brat..." The raven said under his shaky breath.

Levi's pain was beginning to become physical, it felt as if his heart was getting ripped out and smeared into the concrete. He wants everything to stop, everything to go back to normal, everything to be in Eren's favor and let him live. That's all he wants. Is it too much to ask..?

"In the entire time I've known you, I believed there should always be a smile on your beautiful face. I would always try to find ways to get rid of any pain you had, but I can't right now..."  His lip quivered as he squeezed the chains on his wrists.

"And all I want is for you to be happy..."

The crowd was talking amongst themselves, wondering how humanity's strongest and hope were in a relationship. How did they last? Why is it fair that they must go through so much pain?

"I wanted to marry you...I still really fucking want to..." Eren turned his head to see the love of his life. It was gut wrenching to see tears of utter despair streaming down his face, especially when it was his fault.

"If...If I would've lived to ask you...would you have said yes...?" Finally, tears rolled down his cheeks, the question breaking him on the inside. Levi slowly made his way to the chained man, despite the protests from his comrades. He knelt down, hugging Eren by the neck, tears pouring down his cheeks.

"You know I would have said yes... I would've loved to spend the rest of my life as your husband. Dammit why do you have to die..."

The pain he felt was excruciating, he didn't want him to let go, Levi's all he had left. Losing his life was a risk he took, and he regretted it, Eren is facing his consequences. He may have been delusional, but he could've sworn the heartless beast watching the scene before her, was actually feeling sympathy.

"Is that all you'd like to say?"

He didn't even want to respond, he wanted to delay his demise as much as possible, only to be with his other half that much longer.

"...Yes."

Levi clung to Eren as if his life depended on it, it practically did. Unfortunately his comrades had pried him off. He screamed for them to let go, but he was out numbered and significantly overpowered.

The Warhammer Titan's jaw snapped open, the slits in its cheeks now gaping holes. Eren closed his eyes, coming to terms with his now closing book.

"NO!! LET ME GO!!"

Her jaw closed, blood spluttering from the corners of her lips. Finally, the suicidal maniac met his unfortunate end.

"NO! EREN!!!"

As soon as his comrades loosened their grip, Levi immediately collapsed to the ground where his loved one once kneeled. An ear piercing scream of pure suffering and terror came from the man. He smeared the reminisces of his lover's blood on his fingers from the concrete.

The giant thud from his lover's killer didn't even make him flinch. The crystal broke down as Liza approached her friend. She sympathized Levi, she couldn't imagine what would happen if she was in his place.

"Here."

Levi looked at his lover's killer with a confused expression.

"I asked Hanji to put what was left of Eren's blood into a small container so I could make you a necklace."

He took it into his hands. The teardrop vial was cold against his skin; a sickening reminder that his lover couldn't keep the blood in there warm. Levi put it on. It felt like Eren would be with him from now on.

"I apologize... I usually don't care for other people that aren't Mikasa, but you are an exception." Liza bowed, leaving Levi to grip his necklace in silence.
