Friend Of Friends // Yumi *discontinued*

"Gwen!" Gwen sighed and walked out to kitchen, where Nick was yelling from. "Where is the bread knife?"

"In the knife drawer" Nick opened the drawer and pulled it out.

"Thanks" Gwen nodded and walked back to her room. She went back on her PC and looked at her resume. She had tried for many different jobs and none were working out for her. Every single one had rejected her. She closed out her resume and got a notification from Discord. She looked to the see it was the groupchat with the boys. Yumi had sent a message.

Gwen chuckled and called Yumi. He picked up immediately.

"Well, that was quick" Gwen said. Yumi chuckled and his camera turned on. Gwen turned her camera on and Yumi smiled.

"Thanks for calling"

"Oh no problem, I'm trying to distract myself from looking at jobs so," Yumi chuckled and Gwen smiled. "So, whatcha doing?"

"Just trying to think of more video ideas. I need to record stuff for my second channel."

"What type of stuff do you do on your second channel?" Gwen asked.

"Just random shit" Gwen nodded and thought for a minute.

"What about reaction type of videos?" Gwen suggested.

"That's a good idea. What type of reaction videos?"

"You react to idiots in cars, memes and shit like that" Yumi nodded and started typing. There was comfortable silence while Yumi typed away on his computer.

"So," Yumi started. "You excited for the trip?"

"Yeah, I get to meet everyone and not worry about life for a little bit. It's gonna be nice" Yumi smiled and nodded. "Are you excited?"

"Yeah, I haven't met anyone in person"

"You get to meet me in person" Yumi chuckled.

"Yes, I know that" Gwen chuckled and it was silent again.

"I'll be honest with you" Yumi started. "You don't seem like the type to be Nick's friend." Gwen chuckled out of confusion.

"The fuck do you mean Yumi?"

"Call me Blake" He said.

"Ok mister Blake Shelton," Gwen spoke. Blake laughed and then Gwen started laughing too. "What makes you think that I wouldn't be friends with mister Softwilly" Blake shrugged and spoke up.

"You seem like you were a ratchet bitch in high school." Gwen jaw dropped. How can one guy be so fucking mean? Gwen thought.

"I was not! Where the fuck did you get that from?"

"Your getting real defensive there sweetheart." A little bit of his southern accent came out when he said 'sweetheart'. Gwen blushed slightly and Blake chuckled. "Now you're all quiet there"

"Shut the fuck up Blake" Gwen wasn't actually pissed off at Blake. "I was not a ratchet bitch in high school. You can ask Nick about it. I was actually a goody two shoes who was friends with all the teachers and staff members."

"Why? That seems kinda pointless"

"It was good for when I did do something bad like when I went to school high once, the teacher that caught me told me to never do it again and let me off with a warning. While my friend got detention for two full weeks"

"I'm gonna call Nick right now to see if your bullshitting me" Blake said as he grabbed his phone. It rang a few times then a hello came through. "Quick question, what was Gwen like in high school?"

"She was a straight A kid who was part of the gaming club and was a kiss up to teachers. Why are you asking me this anyways?" Nick asked, confused as all hell.

"Cause Gwen said she was a goody two shoes in highschool and I wanted to confirm that it was true." Gwen chuckled and Blake smiled more. "I gotta go, bye Nick" 

"Wha-" Nick said before he was hung up on. Blake chuckled and put his phone down. 

"I guess you were right Gwen" Blake stopped. "Is there another name I can call you?" 

"I don't know any other nicknames other then just Gwen" 

"Is your name just Gwen or-?" 

"It's Gwendolyn" Blake hummed and spoke up. 

"What about Winnie?" Gwen smiled. 

"I like it"

"Then your nickname is Winnie now" Gwen chuckled. 

"Thanks for the new nickname Blakie poo" Gwen talked in a baby voice. 

"What the fuck?" Blake sort of shouted. They both laughed about it and it went quiet yet again. Blake focused in on one of his screens. Gwen noticed and pointed it out. 

"Why are you so focused in on your screen?" 

"Playing Siege. Wanna watch?" 

"Sure" Blake didn't do anything for a minute or two then he started sharing his screen. All Gwen knew was that he was on the Fortress map. Gwen watched as he played. He ended up winning the game and he played many more rounds. He shut off the game but was still sharing his screen. He had a google doc open with a bullet point list of video ideas. Blake stopped sharing his screen and it was just his camera. He picked up his phone and frowned slightly. 

"I gotta go. I have an appointment at 8:30 am tomorrow." Gwen looked at the time and saw it was 11:46 pm. 

"Ok, sleep well Blake" 

"Goodnight Winnie" Blake ended the call and Gwen smiled as she thought about the call. She then got a message and looked at it.

Gwen shut off her computer and laid in her bed. She closed her eyes and thought about Blake.
