Jillian continued with her day after Hailey left. She cleaned up her house and then she went around the house taking down all pictures of Nathan. Wedding pictures and everything. She knew it was time to move on and she didn't want to be reminded of any of this again.
Tom had asked Hailey to come in for coffee so she did and they chatted for a while.
"So Tom how long have you lived here? I haven't noticed anyone living here till now?" Hailey asked with curiosity.
"I've been here for about a month. I've just been trying to get settled in that's why you haven't seen me?"
"So where are you from?"
"You ask a lot of questions don't you? Well I am from out of town. Anyway I need to get going to you should go to." It sounded as if Hailey was being too nosey. And he didn't want anyone to know anything about him.
"Ok, yeah that's fine. But you should go next door and visit your neighbour. She could use a good visit." Hailey stood up from her chair and went to the door. Tom followed her to the door to see her out.
Hailey thought that he was a strange sort, and very secretive. And well Hailey was a curious person so she wanted to find out his secret. She went back over to Jillian's to see how she was doing. She didn't mean to upset her like that.
As Hailey was walking up the steps she noticed that Jillian had a new neighbour across the street as well. This was odd she thought. Why would Jillian have two new neighbours at about the same time? Maybe it's just a coincidence. But maybe it's not. Maybe Jillian was right not to leave her house. No it's just a coincidence. Hailey put the thought out of her head and continued to the door. She knocked and there was no answer. She had knocked three times and there was no answer.
