"Mia! Hey, wait up!"

I turned around to see my friend running towards me and I started walking towards her so I could meet her half way. I slowed down as I saw all the people staring at the both of us in a weird way.

"Uh...hey, um...what's up?" I asked shyly.

"Hey girl, are you going to the dance tonight?"

"Oh....um...."

Shoot, I forgot about the dance!

"Um...I can't...." I mumbled.

"Why not?!" She practically screamed at me.

"I don't know. Maybe I'll show up, but I'm not sure...."

"You better show up chica or I'll drag you out of your house and you'll go to the dance in whatever you're wearing. Literally."

Okay, so yeah, I had a really super crazy best friend, but what the heck? She's a ball of fun.

I just shook my head and was about to say something when she started elbowing me in the ribs. I looked at her like she was crazy as I tried not to laugh because I'm ticklish.

"And you-know-who is gonna be there tonight." She stated as she wriggled her eyebrows at me.

I burst into laughter at that point, but I stopped as I realized she wasn't kidding and thoughts about the school's hottie who everyone had a crush on swirled around my head. 

"Um...well, I don't know if I'll show up....maybe..."

"You're coming." She answered sternly.

"Leah Ann I - "

HONK HONK!

I was interrupted by a rude person honking their horn and closed my eyes in frustration. I turned around to see half of my brother's body hanging out of the window of the back of the car, waving his arms frantically at me.

My older brother.

My face instantly went red.

"OMG your brother is so cute!!" Screeched one of the dumb blondes standing in front of me.

I rolled my eyes and gave Leah Ann a look that said "why do you hang out with these bimbos?" She looked at me and shrugged.

I turned around to my brother and put my index finger up, indicating one minute, and then turned back around to see the three blondes standing next to Leah Ann, staring at my brother.

"I'll see you later." I said to Leah Ann.

I then turned towards the three blondes.

"Hey, you guys should wipe that drool off your faces."

They quickly wiped off drool that wasn't even there and I smirked at them as they gave me a dirty look. I turned to see my brother frowning at me.

My smirk grew wider.

You see, my brother was very popular and one of the school's biggest players in it's history. Period.

I left, waving to Leah Ann. When I got to the car, I opened the door and my brother slid over.

"Hey Mia."

"Hey Tony."

We both grinned at each other and I turned to the front, my smile sliding off my face.

Uh oh, what did I do....?

Both of our parents were in the car. Our parents don't normally pick my brother and I up together unless one of us is in trouble.
