A Special Morning

It's Monday, February 7th, and it's 81 degrees. On a normal Monday I wake up, take a shower, get changed, and than Austin takes me out for breakfast, before school. But today he didn't come, and I don't know why. So I decided I would walk on the beach by myself to just think. As I was walking on the deserted beach, I noticed that people were moving in 3 doors down from my house. So I went over to see if it was anyone I knew. When I got to the house only the moving truck was there, so I decided I would walk to Bella's for a ride to school. But than I realized that Jason, the one person who made me forget about Austin and make my stomach fill with butterflies, was staring out the window. He saw me and came out. "Hey Emma" said Jason. I didn't want him to know I was looking around the house so I played dumb. "Oh hey, are you moving in?" I asked. "Yeah, so... You live around here?" I was so nervous, I couldn't think of anything to say. "Yeah, 3 houses down. 5 Carlver St." I said. "That's awesome, I'm looking forward to seeing you more" Jason said. "Me too, and do you need any help with these boxes?" I asked. "If you don't mind, I don't want to be rude" He said. "No I don't mind, let me help." So Jason and I walked through the house to get to his driveway, his bedroom is in the same area of the house as mine is. We basically have the same house, just in separate areas on the street. So I got 2 boxes and he got 3. "Can you handle those 2 boxes? They're heavy." He asked. "Yeah, I got it." I answered back. So we walked back to his bedroom and I actually got to go into his room, I had butterflies. We put the boxes on his bed and it was a little awkward for a couple seconds, because we were just standing there. Than he asked "Do you want to come to a party on Saturday? It'll be fun." Than I said "Saturday? Yeah, I can go." Jason said "Good. Come here at 5:00, I'm looking forward to see you." I could tell that he was a little nervous too. I replied "I'm looking forward to see you 2, and do you have a pen and paper?" He said "Yeah, wait one minute." He walked out of the room, and left me there, standing in his room, all alone. I was speechless. It felt like forever till he came back but I looked around the room and everything was still in boxes. When he came back I said "thanks" and started to right my number on the paper. Than said "here's my number, call me if you need any help" I felt so smooth. I felt like it was a scene from one of my favorite movies or something. He said "thanks, I was gonna ask for it anyways." Right than I was about to drool, but I caught myself. I started to say "I'll see you at-" but before I could finish my sentence, Jason interrupted and asked "If you want you I can drive you." I was probably one of the happiest people alive. "Ok, thank you, just let me grab my bag, I'll be right back." I replied. "Ok" he said. I went out of his sliding door. As I was leaving I looked back and saw Jason was putting my number in his phone already. That was the first time I really noticed I wanted to break up with Austin. So I walked back to my house, and when I got home I saw that my uncle Mark wrote me a note. It said

"Dear Emma,
I'm gonna be gone for the next 4 days, Austin is starting to make a new album, and is gonna be working at the studio non-stop for the next 5 days. So I'll be working with him. You can have the girls over, and you can go there. But remember no boys allowed in the house when I'm not there. And I left $300 on your bureau, for food, and dog food. I'm also gonna need you to look after the surf shop while I'm gone, and if you can, please try to find a new employee to work at the shop when we can't.
Love you lots,
Mark"

Did I mention I met Austin through my uncle. That was the other reason I wasn't gonna break up with him. Anyways I got my school stuff and headed out the door.
