Serial designation U was a strange case for a dissassembly drone. She didn't really like killing. In fact she got so tired of it she decided to study her makeup and guess what. "The workers have a superior cooling system! Whyyy! That is stupid! How are we even supposed to kill them if they can just lock their doors and watch us die! Time for an UPGRADE!"

U POV
U went to one of her mostly intact kills and opened and swapped their cooling system, before finding out about another modification that she could perform, and explain away to cover it up. She decided that she would change the color of her lights to purple. After the changes were made, K got a notice, curticy of CYN, that a modification had been made to one of the dissassembly drones. When U got back she heard a voice behind her. "Just what do you think you're doing." Asked K.
"Changing colors to something more easily capable of sneaking up on worker drones" said U smiling sheepishly with the words <Update 98% complete> in purple.
"How?" Asked K suspicious.
"I swapped my visor for a dead worker drone's visor." She responded sweating profusely.
"That explains the delay, worker drones have eyes in their visors and now so do you. Updating your wings or weapons will not send  me a notification, but anywhere else and I have to analyze and accept it, as long as it helps get the job done I'm fine with your hobbies. Don't worry your auto repair systems have been will soon install an update based on your current design." Responded K "Any upgrades to the arms and wings don't require my authorization. So feel free to upgrade those if you can find the parts to do so."
"Would parts of the ship work for wing upgrades?" Asked U curiously.
"Might want to make that on a separate pair of wings. And don't use them immediately, you'll break them remember it takes time for your self repair systems to recognize the modification. Good luck finding another ship, there should be a whole bunch of abandoned ones somewhere." Said K. "But I personally am not interested in being upgraded. You can get back to your update now?"
"Uhh-huh, thanks, I guess." Responded U, focusing her attention back to the update.
<New optic sensors detected, would you like to switch over?>
As she switched over, her optic display split into two. "The visor came with new optics and in order to use them effectively I am going to use exclusively that option for the next couple of days." U informed K.
"Why are you telling me this?" he responded before leaving.

T POV
T returned home to find a bunch of seemingly scrap metal on the ground. The only reason he knew not to touch anything was that it seemed to be arranged in an organized manner. Slowly but surely the scrap dissapeared not knowing of K's discussion with U he asked him if he knew what was going on, to which their leader responded "I don't know but she isn't modifying anything that she needs permission to modify."

We're allowed to modify ourselves?"  Asked the demon of death.
"Yep. But you need my permission to upgrade anything but the wings and weapons" Responded K.
"So, Which is she doing?" Asked T.
"Considering that she asked about wing upgrades I'm assuming that's what she's doing. She said she was finished earlier today." K informed him. "She'll be updating currently."
"Okay, I'm going to go to bed now." Said T, mentally drained from a hard night at work.

U POV
The next night I decided to try out newest creation. First I spread my wings before activating 'rocket mode'. A third machine appeared from out of my back and wrapped itself around my wings, resulting in bulkier wings and a pulsating circular light in between the wings. I took off and was surprised at how fast I was moving. Was fun but I still couldn't be too reckless with it. I decided to keep using it for a while before taking it hunting I had already reformatted my optic display to veiw through all of my 'eyes' at once. I got used to that and it has long since become the default. After a couple of days of flying I found myself flying a lot closer to the ground weaving around skyscrapers like it was nobody's business.
"What else did he say I was allowed to upgrade... my weapons right......." She said with a sly smirk.
