Violet (VO) I sincerely reassured both Jonny and Monica that I was sincerely happy for them both. And with them being engaged, they moved in together in a apartment.
Outside in the courtyard, I'm sitting at a table, reading a book. Aaron Hayfield slowly walks up to me and sits down beside me.
"Hey, Violet." Aaron greeted me.
"I know everyone's talking about Jonny's and Monica's engagement, and I've had told them both that I'm sincerely happy for them." I said to Aaron.
"Okay. I was pondering about you and I can visit the Clearwater Swimming Hole this afternoon? To cheer you up?" Aaron asked me.
I look at my ex-boyfriend, Aaron. "Aary. I appreciate your offer. I do. But I can't do that to myself. And I don't want anyone here at ArrinDale University to think I'm spending time with you to distract myself. I can't do that to myself. And I won't do that to you, Aaron."
Aaron nodded, understanding. "I get it, Vinny. I really do. But the offer remains."
"I'll put it in my pocket." I said to him.
"Alright." Aaron said.
Aaron and I exchange small, glum smiles at each other.
"Well, well, well..." Cherry trailed off, sauntering up to Aaron and Me. "... Jonny Zuko's and Monica Russo's engagement lead you to receive comfort from your ex-boyfriend, huh, Violetquinn?"
"Don't start, Cherry." I said, looking up at the redhead grumpy bee.
"Not to worry, I'm not gonna start anything. Jonny's and Monica's engagement party at this evening at the Fleury Monne Speakeasy." Cherry said.
"Okay, thanks for telling." I said.
Cherry and I exchange annoyed small smiles at each other and she walks away.
"It's amazing how you and Cherry annoy each other and gets on each other's nerves." Aaron said.
"Yeah, I know." I said to Aaron.
