Target I

“Enemy Heat signature increased at the right hallway. Be careful Setsuna.” Teresa warned through my earphone. I readied my gun and carefully peeked to the said hallway, and there I saw three thugs wearing burglar masks and carrying heavy artillery. I turned on my targeting system and aimed at one of the thug’s hands. The red laser was unnoticeable of course, and as the hallway proceeds with silence-

I took my chance to fire.

The loud sounds of the gun firing echoed through the corridor as the bullet hits the right hand of my target. He fell on his knees causing him to let go of his weapon and agonizing pain. One of his accomplices came to his aid, while the other stood guard, shouting “WHO’S THERE?!” with anger. I quickly reloaded my gun and went out of hiding. I started my targets and they panicked, causing them to fire their machine guns without warning. With my swift feet, I was able to out run all the bullets and also get the chance to shoot them all too. I shot them at their legs so I could demobilize them, at least it would lessen my problem a little bit, and they are not my ACTUAL target. I swiftly ran pass them and contacted Teresa for further information.

“What’s next Teresa?” I asked through my earphones. “That was fast,” and she answered “our main target is at the volt to the second hallway to your left. He locks himself up knowing that he’ll be safe inside a high-tech cell. But I know you can handle that, Setsuna.” She said and signed off.

Following her directions, I got to my targets location. It was a big volt guarded by super sensitive lasers and a code that locked it. It was hacking 101. All I had to do was find the main power supply, switch it off and all the lasers would disappear and the automated volt would open. That’s what you’d get if you trust too much on technology.

I spotted the main power supply at the upper left corner of the room. I once again turned on my targeting system and aim at it. I shot once again and it exploded in impact. The lasers disappear and the vault automatically unlocked. I barged inside the cell and pointed my gun shouting “Show yourself, Serus!” but no one answered.

My face was covered with disbelief. I entered an empty dark room. With caution, I looked around to see nothing but a piece of paper in the middle of the room. I grabbed the paper and cussed on its content. “Curse you, Serus!”

“Nice try, Agent Zero, but you can’t capture me that easily.”

I grabbed my lighter and burned the note. I walked towards the window and jumped out. Serus, how dare you fool us again! Why couldn’t you just give up!?I just growled in anger as I pulled out my grappling hook and flew away.

I arrived back at the house at exactly twelve midnight. Damn, I'm tired, but I should be used to it. I've been doing this since I was ten. Serus is just another small job I have to finish, but he's making it extremely hard on me, all he does is run, hide and fool Teresa's Intel. I freakin' hate him! I swear I'll kill him immediately once I see him again!

I entered my room and changed from my jumpsuit uniform into my ordinary white polo t-shirt and jogging pants. When I walked past the mirror, it was just then when I realized that I had a cut on my left cheek, just a small cut, maybe caused by the bullets, but it was bleeding hard. I wiped it with my hand but it still won't stop, my fingers were also getting bloody as well.

"Welcome back Setsuna" I jolted when someone suddenly knocked on my door; it was Teresa, greeting me with her beautiful brown eyes while twirling her black curly locks on the end of her partly straight hair. She was wearing this tight suit and high-tech gloves that controlled all the technologies in this house.

She was suddenly shocked to see the cut on my face, and then her protective senses went on immediately. She stomped her way towards me and observed at the wound carefully. "You're hurt!" she said as if it wasn't obvious enough.

I walked away from her and threw myself on the bed "It's nothing new...” I said "I always get wounds; it's not a big fuss"

She followed me into the bed and suddenly gave me a big bear hug. She ruffled my hair and patted my head, "Is it bad to be worried? Who knows what might have happened to you...”

I sunk into her hug and answered with an annoyed tone "Don't treat me like a child."

She chuckled and hugged me tighter "Why shouldn't? You're four years younger than me..." to my surprise, she suddenly stuck an animal themed bandage on my wound then kissed me on the cheeks "Fourteen is an age too early to act as an adult... Especially someone with your state"

As she got out of the bed, I suddenly started to doze off. My eyes were slowly closing as she tucked me in and greeted "Good Night Setsuna, rest well. You'll have a new day tomorrow"

With her words... I feel into deep slumber
