I walked into the school boundaries of San Francisco High School and saw all sorts of groups of people; the jocks, the cheerleaders, the geeks, the gamers, the populars, the bullies, the nobodies, etc. I was beginning to think that my school was like the typical American schools you see on tv series or movies.

I looked around the crowds of people when someone caught my eyes. He was staring at me. I couldn't look away. Our eyes just locked and I felt as though he was trying to say something to me.
I was walking closer but then I heard someone shout my name, "ADELINE!" I turned to see my best friend, Rachel.
She reached out and hugged me."Adeline, oh my, I missed you!" Rachel left during Sophomore year to live in New York. She looked pretty different. Her skin was really pale, she dyed her hair red and had changed her wardrobe. She was.. Girly.

"I miss you, too. You look so different. When did you get back?" I asked while breaking our embrace.

"Last week, Saturday. I'm sorry I couldn't text you. My phone broke and I can't have it fixed till Friday."

"It's okay. Um, want to go look for our lockers?"

"Sure." She interlocked her arms with mine and we walked up the school steps but before we got in, I looked behind to find the same guy from earlier looking at me again.

Adam's POV
Her eyes were magnificent. Her black long hair made her look like a goddess. I went looking for her as she walked into the school. I saw her with her red-haired friend going up the stairs. I was gonna go and catch up with them but then someone tapped me on my shoulder.

"Mr. Collins," said the principal of the school. "I'm surprised to see you back this year."

I smirked. "Well, sir, I'm surprised that your surprised. Don't you like seeing your favorite student?"

"Mr. Collins," he said getting closer, trying to intimidate me but I had like 5 inches on him so it didn't work that well . "I don't want anymore incidents like the last time. Too many people were hurt from your careless actions. We had 10 injured and 3 killed. You have to be wise with what you do. You have to protect you identity. No one can know. Do you understand, Mr.Collins?"

"Yes, sir." I said then went up the stairs before the guy could say anything else.

There were so many kids at this school but I could still sense her. I could smell her. She had this very sweet smell of vanilla and cherry blossoms. I don't know why but this girl attracted me. I felt as though I had to protect her.
I must've not been paying attention because I bumped into her and made her squeak. It was the cutest thing ever.

"Oh, I'm sorry." I said picking up the papers she was organizing in her locker.

"It's okay." She said.

I handed her the papers and I could see her eyes better than when we were outside. They were beautiful. A clear green.

"Um, I'm sorry but me and my friend here have to go to class before we become late."

"Yeah, uh, sorry again." I said laying my hand behind my head and shoving my other hand in my pockets. Why was I so nervous around her? She was just a normal girl. A beautiful normal girl.

"My names Adeline, by the way."

"Adam"

She smiled,"Hi Adam. See you later." And she ran away her friend. My heart felt as though it melted. I could feel my blood rushing through my body.
Did this girl have a Voodoo doll? What was she doing to me?
