Adam's POV
She hadn't moved from her bed since the day she found out her parents died which was three days ago. After school I'd give her her homework and notes, teach her about the lessons we had in class, make her a meal, basically I just tried and be there for her.

I'm was making her food when the door bell rang. I answered the door and there stood her friend Rachel and her boyfriend Steve. She had also been coming to the house to help get Adeline out of the state she was in.

"Hey." She said stepping into the house.

"Hi. You're gonna try and pry Adeline out of bed?" I asked

"Yeah. I'll be back. Oh and Steve that's Adam; Adam, Steven. Become friends." She said as she went up the stairs.

"Hey." The guy looked pretty shy. He was fit and tall, had black hair, squishy cheeks and a very bright smile. He had an Aussie accent so you can probably tell where he came from.

"Hey man." I said going back to cooking.

"So what's wrong with Adeline?"

"Her mother and father died a few weeks ago and she hasn't come out of her room to do anything but eat and shower."

"Ah, that's quite horrific. Id never really understand that well because I haven't gone through it but it seems really hard loosing not one but both your parents."

"Yeah it is."

"You're parents died too?"

"No. Well I mean. I wouldn't know. My parents left me when I was a baby at my foster parents place in Montana. My foster parents said that they were a quite lovely couple from Russia. Never really said anything. My foster parents took care of me till I was 16 then kicked me out of their house because I was apparently a 'bad influence' on their real children for teaching them about equality for LGBT. So I came here, registered for school, got a job, an apartment and bam! Now taking care of myself."

"Damn. Hard life you have there. Some people are so brave to give their children away. I'm sorry man."

"It's okay."

From upstairs I could hear two little pairs of feet start to move and my heart skipped a beat.

"Gentlemen, I would like you to give a warm welcome to our dearly missed friend, ADELINE CAMBLETON!" Adeline walked out of the room looking better than she did when I was in there earlier. She actually had a small smile on her face. Even though she had on a lazy outfit (a OM&M shirt and sweats) and her hair in a bun she still looked beautiful to me.

I walked up to her, took her hand and whispered, "Welcome back, baby girl."

She blushed and squeezed my hands. "Hi."

I pulled her into a hug. I never wanted to let go of her. I looked into her fairy-like green eyes and it felt like I could see the universe. Here eyes were like a car crash; I'm shouldn't be looking at them but they attract me so much.

Rachel's phone went off, "Hey. I wish I could stay with you guys but my parents are making me pick up my brother and sister. I'll see you guys later. Stay well, Adeline." She hugged Adeline then grabbed Steven's hand and waved goodbye.

"So had fun up there?" I said while going back to cooking.

"Sure, you can say that. By the way, thank you for taking care of me. I really owe you."

"Oh no. It is my job to take care of a beautiful princess like you. You deserve everything and I'm gonna make sure you get what you want and need."

I gave her her plate filled with a chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries and sat across from her at the circle table that was set in the corner of the kitchen.

"Adam." She said shyly and played with the sleeve of her shirt.

I chuckled at her cute puppy like action and answered back. "Yes?"

She kept her head down. "I've noticed that there's something about you that's odd. Like you're not normal."

"Well thanks for the compliment." I said laughing a little.

She blushed and looked up at me. I could see seriousness in her face. Something I never really saw on a daily basis. Not even when she was stuck in her room. "No, I don't mean in that way. I mean there's just something about you that makes me cling to you. Ever since we met at school I've felt a very strange feeling in my stomach and whenever you touch me it's like I can feel like I'm burning but it's a satisfying sensation. You're not like all the other guys I've met in my life. You're like.. How do I say this?"

"Extraterrestrial?"

"Big vocabulary but yeah. Extraterrestrial."

I put my chair next to hers and pushed back the hair that was in front of her face. Seeing her blush deeper. I smirked and said softly into her ear, remembering what she said to me in the cafeteria the day I met her, "Je serai votre cauchemar le plus sombre et le plus plus belle."

I was shaking a little. That was a risky move but I did it. She kind of made me nervous but I tried to shake it off and act like a bad ass. This girl made me feel like a vulnerable kitten dressed as a lion. How?!

She bit her bottom lip and blushed. I got up from my seat and got her keys. "Finish up your lunch, take a shower and get ready. I'm taking you on an adventure."
