The world of Terravast.... a world containing the rich history of many races and numerous legends.
In this world there are those that possess power far greater than most mortals.
These beings are commonly known throughout the world as Advancers... Ones who have advanced beyond mortal limits and possess superhuman like abilities.
Whether these abilities take the form of Great Physical Power or Magic Spells completely depends on the Advancer's awakened Job Class.
However even among Advancers there are those that stand at greater heights.
These greater Advancers are known to hold a special title.... 'Astral Proxy'
Astral Proxies are Advancers who hold the power and blessings of ancients Astrals, God-like entities who are said to have existed even before the creation of the world.
Legends state that even just a small portion of an Astral's power is enough to separate the mountains and the seas.
In the current era the world of Terravast is ruled by the Five Grand Empires and the Four Great Dominions.
It is said that within each of these nine powerful influences, reside an Astral Proxy with the potential to stand at the top of this world. It is due to this that these nine powerful forces were able to grow to their current statuses.
However... unbeknownst to the races of Terravast, a great change is about to occur... Entities never before seen that could bring about great calamities to the world are about to awaken... At the same time the Ancient Astrals that had only been spoken about in stories and myths are about to appear in the world once more as well.
With the reappearance of the Primordial Crystals, great forces will come into conflict and the world of Terravast must call forth new champions.
However this tale will not follow those champions.... instead it will follow another.... one whose story starts with an unexpected meeting.
