Patrick Silas

The information that the waitress gave me helped a bit. I already knew where it was I just needed to know if others did and if there was any info on security.

After I get supplies in my truck watching the house like I used to watch the club. Like I used to watch Penelope from my vehicle. Making sure she was safe. Except this time she most definitely is not safe.

About a day into agonizingly watching for any way in I see a van pull up. White with the same plate number I was given over a year ago. I watched as he walked inside. Then an hour later he came out with her. My stomach flipped how you do on a rollercoaster. I can feel her. She didn't look like herself but it was no doubt her. There was a girl following them as he carried her to the van.

She looks familiar to me just can't place her. It wasn't until I heard Penelope scream my name when I snapped out of my daze. I felt the pain in her voice. I had to fight the urge to go to her right then. Instead I sat there gripping my door tight, making white knuckles. Knowing that they will be taking her to someone important most likely I need to know if there are more girls. I came for her I'm leaving with many. I would be able to live with myself if I don't.

The van sped off and I watched as the blonde watched her leave. Where do I know her from? Why does she seem so familiar? Opening my door and stepping out of my truck I walk to the house. She sees me and just stared. Her jawline, her eyes, the way she walked. Even the way her shoulders moved when she breath. I remembered it all. How could it be her? How could this be right? She has the scare on for shoulder from jumping out of a tree. Her lips are fuller now but move the same as all those years ago. How is this her?

Me knees went weak. Just looking at her with a raised brow. She was in a light blue tight dress and heels. Her lip gloss was fresh and blonde hair a bit darker then I remember but still blonde. I'm still trying to catch my breath. Feeling my chest brake in that moment.

" Do you have a problem?"

She turns to head inside and my chest hardens. Terrified I might never see her again." You died."

" Excuse me?" She says turning around.

" You died." I whisper trying to figure out what to say. " Your name is Penny."

" My name is Crystal." Blayne disregard to what I'm saying.

" Maybe now, but it was Penny Haley. Your my sister. They told me you died."I see the information connecting. She shakes her head.

" No my family died a long time ago." I can see she is scared to admit what we already know.

" So did you. Our parents told me you drowned in the pool. You were gone before I got home. We had a funeral and everything." My fingers run through my hair. " I'm Patty. Do you remember, you were so young."

" No, I think your mistaken." She said grabbing for the door. Stopping for a second.

" Her necklace. It was yours once. When I lost you I said I would only give it to someone who I loved as much as I loved my sister. As much as I loved you." Our similar green eyes connect again and I see she knows what I'm talking about.

" You love her? Your her Silas? You-you..." Her eyes are glossy in the light of the dark night and I can see everything is making sense.

" I never stopped looking." I hold my hand to my heart. " I love her. I need her back. If I knew you were still alive I would have looked for you too. I was young and I thought you were dead. Everyone said you did so that's what I thought." I can tell that hurt her. " I didn't know any of this." Pointing to the house" existed. Then I became a cop and I just tried to find everyone I could no matter what."
