"Oh my, doesn't anyone live here?" Taehyung asked, his eyes were widely looking at the house infront of them. It was looking all so beautiful yet it was all rusted and old. Seems like this house was kept abundant. Trees and shrubs were hanging on the house, making it look more age old than it already was. Taehyung didn't get any response so he turned around to look at the other but everything broke down infront of him when he saw Jungkook clutching his shirt while crying softly, eyes were on the house only.
"J-jungkook." Taehyung called, more like shuttered when he saw tears in Jungkook's eyes. Somewhere it hurted him so much looking at those fresh tears falling from Jungkook's almond eyes.
"I-it's our house, Tae. The house you wished to stay always." Jungkook said before wiping off his tears and moved a step ahead. Taehyung confusedly looked at Jungkook before trying to understand his liking of house. Does he still love this types of wooden houses decorated with flowers. Answer is he didn't know.
"Let's go inside." Jungkook said, as he moved towards the house. Taehyung shortly followed Jungkook.
They came infront of their house and saw the door is locked. Jungkook facepalmed himself forgetting this common thing that the door would be locked for sure. Taehyung looked blankly at Jungkook before suppressing his laughs looking at Jungkook's almost crying face due to frustration.
"What will you do now?" Taehyung asked, touching the rusty pillars of the house. It feels familiar to him-- too much at his point that he started feeling weird inside his heart but he decided to ignore the foreign feelings which was trying to get over him. Jungkook looked at Taehyung with a 'don't know' face.
"Did you finally decided to come?" Both of their face turned back hearing the new voice of the owner. That's when they noticed a old man, almost in his 70's standing there, his body was supported by the stick he was carrying with him. Jungkook's brow knotted hearing the other. "What you mean, harabeoji?" Jungkook asked.
The old man softly chuckled before coming towards the both males and leaned a little forward towards Taehyung who moved his head backwards trying to understand what the old man wanted to do. Jungkook's instinct made him hold Taehyung's wrist protectively. The man again smiled before sitting down on the railings.
"So, Young mans already reincarnated?" The old man said, adjusting his voice lowly. Taehyung's eyes widened as he heard the old man. Well, now everything is getting serious. Jungkook was never joking about it. On the other hand, Jungkook was more than shocked. He came towards the old man before sitting on his knees infront of him.
"H-how you know, Harabeoji?" Jungkook asked. The shock in his voice didn't make the old man surprised.
"I was waiting for you to come. It's been long i have been carrying a precious thing with me." The man said before taking out something from the pocket of his shirt. Jungkook was oddly looking at the man along with Taehyung who couldn't believe what was having. But suddenly a stink of pain rushed over his whole body, making him stumble on his body weight. Jungkook wasn't facing him so he didn't know what was going on with the younger. Taehyung was holding his head - some images were rushing through his mind. He shaked his head, trying to get over it as it was paining him. And after sometime, the pain lessened a little as he rubbed his forehead softly with his sweaty palm. Just then his attention went towards the old man and Jungkook sitting infront of him..
"My grandpa knew you would come one day. So he gave me this to pass it to you." The old man said as he forwarded his hands towards Jungkook whose eyes fell on the other's palm and there was a old silver key resting on it. "It's the key of this house - of yours house. My grandpa was the one who gave it to me and told me if someone won't come looking for it then I need to pass it to my son so that my son could give it to you if you come after I die." Jungkook blinked his eyes, trying to process everything happening infront of him. The old man signed with his eyes to Jungkook to take the key. Jungkook's thought broke as he took the key from the other's hand. His hands shaking holding the key of his own house- of their house. His heart felt contended yet filled with lot's of memories together.
"Nothing is touched in this house. Nobody ever got inside the house after you died in the accident. My grandpa told this house was being maintained by someone who is still alive now." The old man said as he tried to stand up and Jungkook helped him by holding his hands. "Can I meet your grandpa, Harabeoji?" Jungkook asked. He wanted to know more. He didn't know how he died.
"He's no more, Jungkook. He just told me that you would come one day. Your soul won't rest until you get your Taehyung back in your life and see-- that's what happening." Jungkook closed his eyes, feeling his eyes were getting soaked with tears again but he controlled himself. The old man's gaze now fell on the confused and vulnerable face of Taehyung who was standing behind Jungkook, head was hung low.
"Taehyung?" The man called gaining Taehyung's attention. Jungkook also turned around now looking at the younger's state. It seemed like Taehyung wasn't well- his sweaty forehead and the lost expression was making it more clear. "Are you alright, tae?" Jungkook asked as a ray of worriness ran through his veins.
Taehyung nodded slightly before faking a smile towards the old man who just now called him. "You don't remember anything?" The old man again asked, now finding the possibilities that Taehyung might not remember anything. Taehyung looked down, shaking his head as a 'no'.
"Aish boy, it must have been hard for you to deal with." The man said, his voice showing how much he was feeling sad for the boy. Taehyung smiled again before speaking. "I hope I can remember everything. I want to remember and I am sure I will very soon." Taehyung said.
"You will remember everything, Taehyung. It might take time but you will. Go now and watch your own house. It's all yours from today. Geez! Finally I am over this responsibility." The old man said, chuckling at both of them.
"Thank you for this, Harabeoji. I don't know how to repay for what you did. Thank you so much." Jungkook exclaimed before bowing at the old man who patted Jungkook's shoulder affectionately and walked away from them.
