I wont understand your situation
or pain
or countless disappointments you've faced
its true I could never understand
nobody can except you
because in a world of hell fire nobody gets out unscarred
a traumatic memory
or a hardened heart.
nobody can understand your struggle to find
peace or noise
solitude or companionship
light within the darkness
nobody will except you
but we can commend you on your efforts
and uplift you when you fail.
we can support your every decision
you will have to make.
we can help you when your hand reaches out
and even though slightly bruised
we grab you as gently as possible
because although we cant say 'I know how that feels'
we can say 'we have your back'
