A few days had passed since the night at Ella's. We still had nine days of freedom before training began, and a spontaneous plan emerged and of course, Ella was the administrator of this.

The decision was made, and we hastily booked a five-night getaway to Ibiza. The thought of a well-deserved break under the sun filled me with anticipation. Tomorrow morning, we were scheduled to depart from Manchester, and being my typical self, I hadn't even started packing or figured out what to bring.

Frantically, I rummaged through my wardrobe, reliving the chaotic scene from a few nights ago. Clothes were tossed onto my bed as I attempted to select items to fill my suitcase.

After inspecting every item in my wardrobe for a good hour, and deliberating over whether I truly needed each one, I finally conceded that it was time to call it a night. We had an early start ahead, with the flight scheduled for 5 a.m.

Morning arrived quicker than I expected, and as dreaded, the blaring sound of my alarm pierced through the silence. It had a knack for never waking me upright when it went off, but today was an exception. I jolted out of bed and made a beeline for the shower. The excitement for this holiday was coursing through my veins — the sun, my best friends, and the promise of carefree moments with a touch of alcohol. It was the perfect combination.

After my refreshing shower, I quickly packed my remaining essentials and grabbed a bite to eat before booking an Uber to Ella's apartment, our designated meeting spot.

As the Uber pulled up outside Ella's place, I lugged my suitcase inside and opened the door to find Ella beaming with excitement. Her eyes sparkled with joy, and she couldn't contain her enthusiasm for the upcoming trip.

"Avery, I have a feeling this trip is going to be the best ever!" she exclaimed, pulling me into a tight hug and jumping up and down. "I'm so excited!" I replied, joining in her excitement as we both let out a little scream. Despite the early hours, we were brimming with energy and anticipation.

The rest of the girls, including Leah Galton, Millie Turner, Mary Earps, and Aoife Mannion, soon arrived at Ella's apartment. The Uber ride to the airport was filled with initial excitement, but as the reality of the early hour sank in, some of us succumbed to exhaustion and drifted off to sleep for the duration of the journey.

Upon reaching the airport, we were greeted by a tranquil atmosphere. The middle of October meant fewer crowds, and we breezed through security without any hassle.

"Flight EZY to Ibiza is now boarding at gate 24," echoed the announcement over the intercom.

Ella, ever the energetic soul, jumped up with enthusiasm. "Let's get this party started, girls!" she exclaimed, grabbing her suitcase and swiftly making her way towards the gate, leaving the rest of us scrambling to catch up.

The flight to Ibiza passed relatively quickly, lasting just over two hours and thirty minutes. Exhaustion had caught up with most of us, and many took advantage of the flight to catch up on much-needed sleep—including myself.
