I was currently on a road trip from New York to California
It was for one of my mom's business gigs
my mom was a hard working single mom ever since my dad got arrested for possession of drugs and 'dirty money.
ever since then it's just been my mom , my three sisters, and my little brother and I.
My mom works as a dj and sometimes she has to travel...

"Give it back" "no I had it first"
"stop fighting before I have to pull over this car"
"d help your siblings" my mom said taking my attention off my phone screen...
* annoyed groan "why can't Serena sit back here and take care of them"
my mom looked back from the driver seat and gave me a 'really Nigga face...
"What " I questioned
"Becuase I said so" my mom said sternly
'I hate it here I thought to my self as I turned to my fighting little brother and sister...
"Stop" I somewhat yelled
"no" "but I had it first"
"Now no one has it" I said snatching the tablet from my sisters hands
my sister started kicking and crying
"Look out the window or something" I said covering my ears...
'this is going be a long ride I thought it my self
"who's this gig for anyways" I said uncovering my ears
"I don't know" "some record deal" "notworldrecords"
"Something like that" my mom said unsure
"Oh" I said as we made a left turn into parking lot of the hotel we we're supposed to be staying at...
It wasn't the the best hotel ever but it was nice it was moderately decorated and it had a lot of floors...
And it had a pool so that was a PLUS

We've been sitting in this small ass hotel room for 40 minutes straight
I've got dressed because me and my oldest (14) sister are going to the concert with my mom.
My younger siblings are staying with one of my moms friends
This is like my 5th show that i attended with my mom
I was wearing a badge 'essentials shirt with gray shorts and my Yeezy slides- calm fit !

"Y'all better hurry up we leaving in a few seconds" my mom yelled from the hotel bathroom
I was confused because me and my sister had been ready...
My mom was the only one not ready

TIME SKIP
I look up from my phone to see us pulling up to a short brick building
There was a lot of cars and people lined up outside the main entrance
I'm guessing their all here for the show this must be a Rod wave concert cause...
Ain't no way

My mom pulled into the back and got out me and my sister followed behind closely
"Come on" my mom said motioning us into the building
The inside looked like I was still outside - it was ghetto
There was people and stuff every were
"Hi" a guy said approaching my mom
"Hello , yes ! I'm the dj" "yes! 'dj dezzy" "how could I forget you can set your stuff up over here" the unfamiliar guy said motioning my mom to a room
I followed right behind her when we walked into the room it lead us to a stage
'So this what it feel like to be on stage
"Right here , if you need anything you come get me" the guy said returning back to the other room
"Okay, thank you !" My mom said
I focused my eyes on a chair near the door and sat down
my mom was setting up and plugging in her stuff
"We should go to this" my sister said point to her phone
It was a flyer about a party they were having down here
"Uh uh, I ain't finna getting shot"
"For real Darrien , you're no funnn" my sister said dragging her words
"okay fine" "but is mom finna let us go" I said giving in
"Mom can we go to a party"
"No" my mom blankly said...
"but .. ma it's being hosted by 'yo friend daughters"
"okay ...fine but I'm going to have to speak to them about it"
"YAYYY" my sister said somewhat jumping up and down
I smiled at the view...
Before we were rudely interrupted by a unfamiliar voice
"hello" a man said approaching my mom
"Hi you must be..." "it's jstar balla" the man said smiling and shaking my moms hand
"But you can call me 'star for short"
"Okay hello star" my mom said smiling
"And this is my brothers ' jayklickin and dd"
The man said pointing to two unfamiliar young boy walking into the room

I don't even know what the man said to my mom after that because I couldn't get over the youngest looking boy he was so...Fine
He looked so majestic
He was light skinned with a long curly hair fro...
He had on amiri jeans and a black dressy shirt with Rick owns to top it ... he was so perfect looking
Before I knew it he was approaching me

"Wassup" he said smiling and reaching his hand out for a dab
I was so shocked I thought I was dreaming
"H-hi" I said stuttering as I returned the dab...
