The room was lively, tables lining the edges of the room, not interrupting the dance floor near the center of the club. Loud music shot through the speakers, however the waves of sound only just managed to reach the bar at the back of the building.

Sat at the back talking to the person working behind it was an older man with long unkept black hair and facial hair to match. He was dressed in a long black coat and a gas mask hidden underneath it.

A group of men were looking over at him and chattering between themselves.

"He's been here every day for a week, but whenever I approach him, he doesn't pick up what I'm putting dooown~" a petite brown-haired man said.

"I feel that's your fault. You always go for old men." A red-haired man replied.

"That's not my fault! They're just so cuuutteeee!" He responded holding his face.

Another rolled his eyes. He was a dark-furred anthropomorphic wolf, he wore circular sunglasses and a black half-opened shirt, His white hair was sliced back behind his ears. He started walking off before the brown-haired man grabbed his arm.

"Span, where ya going?" he asked.

"I'm going to get a drink, I didn't come here with you to talk about an old man." he pulled his arm away and walked over to the bar.

As he walked away the red-haired man nudged the brown-haired man, "Get going to get your guy."

He approached the bar and sat down near the old man. The bartender walked over to him and he ordered a whisky. As he took a sip he peered over to the old man looking at him.

"Glad there's someone in here who knows a good drink!" the old man said to Spanner clearly very tipsy.

"Yeah, the only drink I can get drunk off. Human alcohol is fucking terrible," he mumbled.

The man looked at Spanner intensely, "I've got to get used to you people, back when I used to live here things were different, whiskey was cheaper for one!" The man chuckled.

Spanner smiled raising one eyebrow, "Were you born in the 19th century or something?" he asked rhetorically.

The man laughed, "Certainly feel like it. You say your people have their own, stronger drink?"

"Are you interested? I can show you where to get some if you want?" Spanner suggested.

"Please, I need to relax. Been a stressful week."

The brown-haired man and the others watched the two of them get up and walk out of the bar together.

The man followed Spanner down the road to a corner store on the edge of a new district.

"In here, not that far was it?"

"It's close to my place!?" He muttered surprised.

"You live near here and you don't know it's an animal district? Dick heads like you need to get out more."

The man laughed, "You're funny, wanna grab a pack and go to mine."

"Sure, if you're okay with that."

"Yeeeah, by the way just call me N."

"Oh, well if we're doing allies, call me Spanner. Don't ask why." Spanner replied reliving countless memories.

"Wasn't planning on it" N smiled.

They bought a few drinks and made their way into N's apartment. They walked in and sat on the sofa in front of the TV and coffee table. N put the drinks down on the table and sat before opening one up.
