It was dawning 8pm and they were both still sat in the same positions, couch locked and completely blank. When you've been making videos for nearing 10 years, periods of clueless-ness happen to appear. Sam was staring up at the sealing, puffed cheeks as he attempted to get his brain cogs turning, the gears of his mind completely malfunctioning as any sort of idea vanished. Just when he was about to have one of those typical lightbulb moments, the vivid vision of possibility disappeared. They've exhausted almost every possible idea, whether it's exploration or challenges.. there's close to nothing more to do.

"Do we just stop?" Sam speaks, letting out a sigh as he utters those gut wrenching words - sealing his lips tightly as doubt flowed through his mind. Shaggy blonde hair fell over his eyes and he closed them in response, keeping them shut even when his sight was cleared. Colby glanced over, sniffing harshly and shrugging, unable to form a sentence as he too was lost. This was his life, this was their life - all they've known for as long as they can remember.
"Dude.. I don't know." He stutters in response, biting harshly on his lower lip as he contemplates the proposition. Negativity is all that could be created in both of their heads', they've hit slumps in their journey but nothing as risky and long as this one.

"They're getting desperate Cole.." Sam whispers, pointing at the piling notifications on his phone screen. The latter looks over subtly shaking his head out of disbelief, it had been almost 4 months since their last post on social media, and bordering 8 since any youtube upload. Their fans will either lose interest or become resentful. "Do we say something? Announce.. something? Anything?" Sam adds on due to the lack of a response,  playing around with his fingers and twiddling with the thick silver band on his index, the one his best friend gifted him on their dual graduation.

Colby seemed much more affected, speechless most days and barely motivated to get out of bed. This gathering in their living room is a scarily rare occasion and Sam had to practically drag the brunette out of his room, just to sit in silence. They both cared deeply for each other, both of them have faced life threatening situations.. such as losing air while diving, climbing awfully high on sketchy abandoned coasters.. and their arrest. Sam had bailed Colby out, which seemed to allow them to get even closer as dedication was shown.. they were like brothers.

Suddenly, Colby stood up, releasing a shaky breath and peering directly into Sams direction. They connected gazes and shared an almost desperate look, shit was going downhill and they both knew it. "Come on, let's go for a drive." he beckoned Sam over, rummaging through the pile of junk atop their coffee table in search of his keys, chucking them into his sweatpants pocket once found. "Does it even have gas..?" The blonde questioned, most food and groceries had been delivered straight to their doors recently so there has been very little use of their shared car, primarily driven and looked after by Colby though.

He nods.

They sat in the car, driving god knows where.. just anywhere away from their busy home lives. "I'd say that this break - if you can even call it that - has been relaxing, but I'd be lying if I said it hasn't ended in it getting bad again." Colby admits, staring straightforward, eyes on the road. Sam takes in the words, turning of the muffled radio which only seemed to be playing static, their conversations were usually work based or littered with jokes so it's rare anything is said that's as 'deep' as this. "I care about you, man. And if a longer hiatus is needed then we can for sure do that, no doubt." Sam responds, he really admires Colbys determination.

The brunette quickly changes gears and comes to an abrupt stop, finding themselves parked up onto the side of a dirt road. Cole turns to face the blonde, eyes sort of puffy and red. "I'm scared, man." he mumbles, voice shaky and laced with dread. Sam inhales deeply and leans over without saying, roughly embracing his friend as he quietly sobs into his shoulder. "You come first - always. No matter what, we can't sacrifice mental stability for the sake of an hour long video that will be out of the public eye in a few weeks." He reassures, "We'll get out of this, step by step we can work our way back up. There's no rush, Cole. I got you."
