How could eating be so sexy?

When Johanna sat down with her bowl of oatmeal at the dining room table, Tristan was there with a plate loaded with stuff. Eggs, bacon, toast, cut-up orange wedges, and strawberries. It was her oranges and strawberries, but she did not mind sharing.

It was the way he put the whole orange slice in his mouth, and sucked on it, a little juice spilling from his mouth as he tore into the flesh and pulled all the juiciness in his mouth. Each chew she watched his lips move enticingly to her. Then he licked and sucked on his bottom lip a bit to retrieve the juices.

Her eyes were glued to his lips while he scrolled through his phone, not acknowledging her at all.

Day three of living with the hottest man on earth was not going well.

Tristan finally looked up and noticed her. "Hey, what's up lil bit."

She stuffed a spoonful of her oatmeal in her mouth to stop herself from saying anything dumb.

He glanced at the bowl of her favorite oatmeal, filled with almond milk, raisins, cinnamon, and chopped pecans. "You don't want any of the breakfast I made? There was some left? Zee ate before she left for school."

She shook her head and then gulped down the oatmeal. "I don't eat meat."

"You don't eat...meat? Then what the hell do you eat?"

"I'm vegan. I don't eat meat or any animal by-products."

"Really?" He stuffed a strip of bacon in his mouth. "So does the smell get to you?"

"No."

"Does it gross you out that I'm eating it?"

"No."

He smirked, like he wanted to say something else, then thought better of saying it. He went back to his phone.

She felt ignored. She ate a few more bites of her oatmeal. "So um...don't you have school today?"

Zee was an early riser and was already gone at eight in the morning for her nine o'clock class. It was now nine-fifteen, which was still early for her, but she was going to try to make an effort to not sleep her summer vacation away.

"Na! I'm taking the summer off from classes. They let us if we want."

She did not know that. She thought that trade school was a year-round program. This would mean Tristan would be home all day for the summer.

"Don't you have uh...a job? You have to go to work, right?"

"I kind of just work whenever I want. Work for myself whenever someone needs something to be done, I decide if I want do it."

So he had no job but did odd-end things for little money.

"What are you trying to do, get rid of me or something so you can have the whole house to yourself?"

"Huh? No! I wasn't saying that."

"I'll try and stay out of your hair. Maybe I'll just be downstairs or in my room. This is your house, I'm just here for the sweet deal and do whatever needs to be done around here."

"The um...shower upstairs was still pretty cold this morning. My Uncle Billy said he fixed it but-"

"I'll get right on it." He jumped up and grabbed his plate, then off he went, leaving her all alone.

She rather liked his company for that moment, talking to him. Other than that, she would be all alone today. No plans to even get out of the house and do anything.
